During the search I called many firms and most were too busy to consider me or took my "intake" and never even called back but Chris and his team was on top of everything seamlessly. I worked at a fast paced firm for three years myself so I am not totally new to law firm processes. I know how very important this decision is because they are an extension of you, your beliefs and how you would handle situations and to put trust into someone should and is a big thing. Chris is strong and kind - that is a rare commodity. He is also extremely detailed, gets the ideas you are trying to explain right away and has a great follow-through practice which I really appreciate. In the middle of this civil case I had an issue with a rental property/mold and I was so lucky that I had already been working with him. He was able to negotiate exactly what I wanted and fast. I nickname him and his team as one of my "BozeAngels" because they have been a gift and made me feel heard and protected! Hands down recommend this firm in any capacity.

I thought that her aggressive tactics against my husband were necessary but I discovered she is living in the 1980s. She ended up hurting my case, especially my custody with my children. The worst part is that I spent so much money to get nowhere. Research several lawyers before you decide on one. I wish I had.

She handled several complicated issues over a period of about 10 years and the outcomes were greater than I had expected. She has a great no nonsense approach and I thought she was fantastic at her cross examination of the other party. I was speechless, which is saying something. Helene not only set the legal aspects of my family in order but also helped me to see through my emotions at the big picture. She increased my self confidence and she empowered my young daughter to take a stand for herself and the age of 14. She was by our side while we transitioned into a better life and made sure that we were legally protected from circumstances I hadn't seen coming. I highly recommend Helene. As a matter of fact I have several times to any of my fellow registered nurses I work with, and close family friends. I trust her practices and was relieved that I didn't have to learn a million new legal concepts....I left that to her!

    Anna Williams Law

Not only is Anna Williams an incompetent thief who shamelessly bends over backwards to drain your…read moreretainer doing busy work that doesn't benefit you or your case at all - while simultaneously refusing to do one damn thing you hired her to accomplish (which, by agreeing to take my case - and my $15,000 retainer) she assured she would work hard to pursue throughout the course of her representation, BUT if that were not enough, she is unequivocally one of the rudest, most uncivil "people" I have ever had the ill-fortune to encounter. And, I swear on my children, I hired this so-called lawyer to divorce my then-husband who is extremely physically, emotionally, psychologically, and financially abusive! That only conveys a fraction of how uncivilized, insufferable and unprofessional Anna Williams is. And trust me on her completely lacking competency: I am also a lawyer and was nothing short of appalled by this woman's unethical billing practices in conjunction with her unrelenting refusal to do her job at all. She literally treated me like I was her associate or her intern the entire time she represented me by making me do all of her work (with a very nasty attitude to boot) and billing me exponentially more than a competent, ethical family law attorney would have to actually do his/her job and guide me with the expertise Anna Williams tricked me into thinking she had when I hired her. Unless you are looking for representation that entails a mean-spirited, unprofessional incompetent insulting and lying to you at every possible opportunity as you do all your case's work for her so she can then in turn bill you $300 per day to "review" the multiple hours of work you completed for her and another $250 to (sloppily) copy and paste your work into one of her preexisting forms before ends the day by calling or emailing you to insist everything related to the fundamental facts and circumstances of your case are nowhere near as advantageous as she thought they were during the consultation and to argue how your case is not strong at all as you know it to be based on common sense and domestic violence laws - just so she could bill you $225 for literally driving you crazy for at least an hour...avoid at all costs. There is a reason why you cannot leave a review of her practice on Google reviews. Anna Williams frankly should not be practicing law and I hope no one ever allows her to put him or her through the nightmare Anna Williams cruelly subjected me. That is, forcing me to donate against my will $15,000 to my new abuser in exchange for her to relentlessly insult and torture me emotionally and psychologically while simultaneously making me do all the legal work I hired her to complete when she regretfully conned me into paying her a $15,000 retainer to divorce me from my extremely abusive ex-husband. Without a doubt one of the worst (and most expensive) 7 weeks of my life. That's correct; she bled me dry of nearly the entire $15,000 in under 7 weeks to "review" insult, undermine and then plagiarize my hard work with the aid of the copy/paste function. To paraphrase the wise words of FDNY: stay back 200 feet.

TL,DR Version: Anna was the level headedness we needed during a very difficult time, and thanks to…read moreher counsel and honesty the family law case we brought to her was resolved to our satisfaction. She was up front about the various difficulties and potential challenges we could be faced with, and while she did not give us unreasonable hope, you cannot argue with her results: we won, unequivocally. Long version: Never having needed a lawyer before, "shopping around" for one was an exercise in frustration, customer service is far from a top priority at law offices I've come to realize. Between offices that would never call back when they said they would to admins who sounded like they just could not care less about what you were calling about, Anna's office was a breath of fresh air. We were able to set up a consultation in a reasonable time frame, she listened carefully to what we had to say, then clearly and rationally explained the legal grounds our case had, were it could lack, and was up front about how long and grueling the process would likely be. There were a few bumps at the very beginning (a couple things wrong with paperwork that were caught prior to their submission by us), and when we brought this to her attention, she was deeply apologetic and it never happened again. (A mistake does not bother me as long as the person who did it owns up to it and fixes the problem, which she did.) She guided us through the process with a calm and professional demeanor that helped alleviate some of the stress involved, and never once did we feel we had been left alone or in the dark about any part of the process. Preparations for mediation and court were thorough for us as clients and those who were witnesses on our behalf. Her communication times were reasonable, and the work she and her team put in matched up with every bill we received which was incredibly detailed and verifiable. We feel her prices were reasonable based on the quality of work performed - her knowledge of the law and ability to aptly apply it to our case was brilliant. Even if we had not won, her services earned the fees associated with them. Anna's services will be kept on retainer, as we have a suspicion the other party will try some other tactic in the near future. We are confident in our recommendation of Anna for family law cases based on our experiences.
