In the Atlanta Hartsfield/Jackson Airport on the Concourse D Terminal is the 40/40 Club. It's very nice, clean and lots of seating for an airport restaurant. Nice selection of wine with lots of TV's but not the best service. If you're running on a tight schedule to catch a plane you might want to rethink this place. Read the reviews and see for yourself. After a long wait ( thank goodness I like to get to the airport early) the sandwich came (Turkey Club) and actually pretty good. Jay Z (owner) might want to stop in here once in a while and maybe make some adjustments. But for all you sports fans, what does the 40/40 club mean in baseball. ....??? The name is borrowed from the baseball term for the exclusive group of Major League Baseball players who have achieved the rare individual feat of 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a single season. We had the most unhappy, unpleasant, hateful and inhospitable bartender. She was hateful to everyone who she tended to, had bar tables leave due to her inaction, and when she overheard me tell another bar patron that he "wouldn't get any love" at the bar tables, she directed me to pay my tab and leave. She then informed her manager that I was raising my voice and causing a scene, which was untrue. Her manager "called the police" or pretended to, although I had no problem leaving, after I finished my beverage. The bar tender thought it was great idea to drag her other bar patrons into the situation, to disparage me. My advice would be to avoid ATL airport at all costs, and definitely stay away from 40/40 at terminal D. read more

Service was extremely rude and unfriendly. I asked for a cup of soda water with lemon and they stated that they do not have any cups when I could see cups all around that they were serving in. If they could not give the water with lemon, she could have simply said no, but instead was unprofessional and unkind, I dont think I was ever met with worse service. read more

Amongst the worst food in the airport. They served me Doritos for the nachos, and when I sent them back they said I could bring food in from other restaurants. I felt bad so asked the server what food is edible, and she said the tacos, so I ordered those and subsequently agreed with her that they are in fact edible. Stick to the alcohol here if you care about anything. read more

The 40/40 club only had one cook and one server for an entire restaurant and bar. This is ridiculous. You need at least four staff during a busy Friday evening. Who is skimping on costs so much that they deliver a terrible customer experience while also overworking the dedicated staff. Please ensure that Delaware North or whoever operates this restaurant does a better job and focuses on customers!! read more

Bar is out of everything. Soft drink, soda, some of the mixers. Kitchen was "closed" at 330 pm. "She should be coming in soon". No table service. You have to go wait at the bar. Where the waitress who said "I just got here" 50 times took our order, then took 3 other people's (and made their drinks) before she made our drink (and had to walk down hall to get one ingredient). Rude bartender! Not expecting this attitude even in an airport bar. If sticky tables and dirty menus are your thing you might like it. Waited and left after asking for a cloth to wipe down a table. We arrived to this place at 8:55 am and the lady behind the bar was so rude and pointed down the way and said go down there. I asked her don't you open at 9:00 am and can't we just wait for a table. She sarcastically said in a loud voice "no, you have to go down there". I then asked wouldn't we be able to sit here at 9:00 when it opened and she just looked at us and said "no" . She had such an attitude and just looked at us like she hated us. We left and got pizza then right at 9:00 people started sitting right where we wanted to wait to sit. Always wanted to visit Jay Zs 40/40 Club and never got the chance while visiting NYC. So the next best thing? The one in ATL's airport lol. It was a nice lounge for an important, about as nice as something could be an important I guess. Drink was ok, I was disappointed they didn't carry Ciroc. If in fact it is owned by Jay Z he should have all the black owned spirit/liquor brands available. At least I can say I been to 40/40 now lol. Overall, cool. read more

I greet with a smile. Not reciprocated. I sit at the bar and order a drink, a glass of water and tell Adrienne I will be ordering food. I am "matter-of-fact" snapped at that I need to hurry and order because kitchen closes at 2:30 PM on a Thursday (it's the world's busiest airport...WTH!) But one time during service did she smile. I take that back, she smiled at her coworker. Also watched her make the wrong drink for somebody after not listening to them when they ordered. Then the best part, I saw the kitchen worker leave because she was done. My wings sat on top of the heat lamp in the kitchen window for 10 minutes before she Bothered to go get them. She looked several times and did side work etc. actually avoid it in my opinion. She was so cold I was actually apprehensive about asking for a refill on my water. I guess these days if they can get somebody to show up to work that's good enough. They don't have to be good at their job. read more

Very average airport food, at higher than average airport prices. There's a reason you can get a table at 40/40 when most other airport eateries have a wait. On a positive note, the service was very good and the wine pours were decent, but they better be when you're paying ~$20/glass. We shared an order of chicken tacos and a sausage flatbread, neither of which would I ever order again, unless of course I was very hungry and couldn't get into any of the other restaurants, which is the only reason I ended up there last night. read more

Completely out dated and unimpressive. When you think of 40/40 Club and Jay-Z (not sure if the tie in) you envision entrainment being a key in the appearance and delivery... Even at an airport. This IS NOT that. There's one 1 electrical outlet available to customers. That's fruit flies around the bar. The staff is NOT welcoming... "Disappointing" is an understatement. read more

Danielle was an amazing bartender! she made the best drinks, greeted us quickly and was very attentive. our Bloody Mary and mule were AMAZING! she was quick to take our order when we were ready! the review gets 4 stars because the food was not great. we came in because of the nachos however the nachos were terrible. they looked like something your 5 year old nephew made when you haven't gone to the grocery store in a few weeks. and he forgot to heat it up!! thankfully Danielle was understanding and took them off our check. overall a good experience, would only come back for the bartender! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I would give it a zero if I could!!! Danielle was my bartender. At first she made me get up from my table seat and made me sit at the bar to get served properly, which wasn't an issue, I moved after I got off the phone and when I came to sit with her she took a minute to get to me and when she finally did she just asked me what I wanted. (Mind you I had no menu, this was my first time at the place and she DIDNT introduce herself at ALL!) so after asking me what I wanted, I was a little frazzled so I asked for a menu and a water, she rolled her eyes and turned around to grab a random menu from another guest spot which she threw in from of me and before she could walk away I asked how much her long islands were and she said "17" very short and cold.. so then I said "okay how much are your margaritas" and she again was short and cold "17". So I just said okay and she walked away. I sat there for almost 10 minutes with my menu in front of me and STILL NO WATER. She ignored me and got new guest to the bar which she greeted kindly. I only found out her name when I asked for it to find a manager. Which the other stores told me I had to ask her to grab someone. But when I asked her to get me a manager she just looked at me and walked away and ignored me again!! This was such a terrible experience I genuinely started crying because all the staff were so rude on terminal D unless they were apart of delta!! and luckily my flight was moved to another terminal so I was able to get my drink from another bar with no issue from a super sweet bartender who redeemed my experience at the airport. But Danielle has forever ruined my experience at 40/40 and I hope she sees this and understands why it was wrong for how she treated me read more

Had a long layover and wanted a drink and a bite to eat. It was late and the bartender Danielle was very friendly and accommodating! She helped me choose my dish and even at the late hour kept a light and friendly attitude as I finished eating and drinking as the place closed. I got the flatbread and a Moscow mule-nothing overly fancy but just want I needed. The staff helping clean up was also so friendly!! Will be coming back next time I layover in terminal D! read more

Better than average bar/eatery in the ATL airport. Some shortcomings to be aware of: on a midweek day, they had NO draft beers. Period. But wine was apparently quite popular with their clientele and they offered a King Estate Inscription pinot noir (rated 4.0 on Vivino) and an 8-ounce pour. (Looking around, everyone with a wine glass had opted for the 8 ounce over the 5.5 ounce). For eats, I went for the chicken tacos (2) for $12.80, which was a bargain compared to most other choices in Concourse D. I didn't expect amazing service, but at time when everyone is disinfecting and wiping down surfaces, you would think one little airport restaurant could wipe down their tables. This place was gross. There were glasses that the staff didn't clean up from previous visitors. I didn't notice how bad it was until someone wiped down and showed me that huge gray spot on the napkin-after we had finished most of our food. It didn't have to be sparking clean, just clean up they dirty glasses and wipe down a table. How hard is that? Should've just eaten at terminal A. The service wasn't great and I'm sure before COVID people had to come to the bar to get food and drinks. Kudos to the bar tender who had to take orders, make drinks, and call out orders to customers. I waited 15 minutes at the bar with no acknowledgment-the female bartender on 11.9.23 at 8:30 pm, was alone, so I waited with the understanding that she was busy. I finally said, "excuse me, can I get a drink" she told me I'd have to wait, I explained that I'd been waiting and watched her acknowledge a couple that arrived after I did, she got rude, told me to go somewhere else and said in a crude tone, "bye bye, bye bye, I'm not talkin to you, I'm not talking to you."
