We found Freddie and his team to be top notch professionals. Freddie came right on time for our appointment. We wanted an electric gate on a slanted pavement. He answered all our questions expertly and emailed the estimate right away. We were impressed but thought that you just go with the first estimate although everything about these guys looked good. We checked a few others and found them wanting in so many ways. We decided to go with Freddie and couldn't have been more pleased. We were unsure of what we wanted and he patiently went through all our questions with thoughtful answers. This isn't a cheap purchase and we wanted it to be perfect. We finally decided on a arch with a 5' middle and 4' at the edges. We saw someone else's gate and it had a double arch at the top and we wanted that. It wasn't part of the original plan, but for only $150 more, they crafted the perfect gate for us. In fact, all gates are custom built. Instead of the small second arch we had originally seen, our second arch is a nice bold one inch wide arch. These people are artists and they work hard to get everything just as you want or better. (Because we all have similar problems and they know how to take care of things.) After we got all the details and pricing worked out, Freddie emailed me an invoice so that I could pay by credit card. Really nice and professional. It didn't take long for them to make the gate and make an appointment to install it. We had a few worries about long buried gas and water lines, but the crew listened to all instructions and drilled carefully. It took about 4 hours for them to construct the posts and put everything together. Then Rudy went through the details of working the gate with us and offered to change any settings. It has worked perfectly ever since and has made a nice change in our lives. We are happy not to move the old heavy gate back and forth for every trip out. 4 Sure Gates has been a big disappointment. I've had them work on my driveway gate 3-4 times. They told me at the 2nd appointment that I needed a new arm, motherboard and box. Had them go ahead and do it for a steep price. It was very slow at opening and closing with limited range. But we tried to live with it. Turned out that the new system they installed was very slow. They didn't warn me up front about that. And didn't warn me I would only get 2 remotes. Had them return almost a year later because the system was getting worse over time. They fixed it for another $140 charge. Then I was having trouble with garage door after the worker left, which he had paired remotes with. I called 2 people to help me. They never called back. They're just not trustworthy and are too expensive, and need to work on describing to the customer what the details are of what they're paying for. read more

I had called around for an estimate on a small fix of my current gate (installed terribly by A&A Gates) and was impressed that he asked so many questions to get to the bottom of what I actually needed. The tech that came out was prompt and really knew his stuff; he even pointed out a few things that seemed "off" about my gate and explained why it should't be that way. He left a sticker on my gate box with their number in case I had any other questions or problems in the future. Super friendly guys with great gate knowledge!! read more

4 Sure Gates charges excessive fees for simple repairs. Our driveway gate began to fail. Their employee Jason showed up about1 hour late (neither he nor company advised he was en route). I found replacement batteries on the web for ~$75 for a 2 pack. Jason said their price was $250, and he ended up charging more than $400 to to simply replace the battery (I did not get an estimate - and i should have--you should, too) if i did would have stopped the process). I complained to 4 Sure and they never responded. Pretty sure my complaint was ignored. Very disappointed with their poor service & excessive charges. Be sure to read other reviews! Find another vendor; just about anyone else. read more

Warning: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The owner is extremely unprofessional and will take your money and run. Please take my advice and call a real gate company that honor's their product and work. Jason is the best! Had a problem with my gate and Jason came out and in no time diagnosed and fixed my ongoing problem.

I have used this company twice since last year. Their service is outstanding! The first time i called them, I had no idea that they are based in ft worth and I live in far north Dallas and they came right away and fixed our gate immediately and their charge was very reasonable, considering that they had to replace the entire computer system board and battery. The tech guy was courteous and friendly and did a great job in a short time I had to call them today because my gate was not working again. Turns out that a bad thunderstorm and lightning set off the panel. The tech checked everything out and only had to push reset button to get everything to work properly again. They wouldnt even charge me for the housecall! That is what I call beyond excellent customer service!!!! I highly recommend this company!! Freddie and his team are great!! read more

Called them for a second opinion and got to my home on time they looked at it and fix the problem with my entry gate works perfectly and just service fee, the first company I called Action garage and door service wanted me to change out the actuator at a cost of 1,700 dollars. read more

I had this company come out to install a VERY SIMPLE driveway gate. We agreed upon specific footing dimensions (which i gladly agreed to pay more for). In the middle of the job, i found that the dimensions were no where near what was agreed upon. I called and asked the owner to make sure his guys were doing what was specified. He called me back irate saying that the dirt was too hard and I should just accept what was being done (even though I paid EXTRA for the previously agreed upon footings). He said he would come out to take a look. He did not. His guys loaded up and just left the job halfway complete. One post in the ground too shallow and one hole wide open with a broken out concrete driveway. WARNING!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!! read more

Watch 4 Sure Gates! I agree with other reviews here on Yelp about the owner "Freddie" (Check both listings for "4 Sure Gates".) We called regarding our driveway gate in Ft Worth not opening. Tech came out in a few days, we asked if the battery was bad. He said he tested it and the battery was ok. Tech said we needed a new "Motherboard" at $800.00+, so it was put in over three months ago. Nothing but problems since! All kinds of bizarre behavior it's never done before like it has a brain tumor or something. Twice fuses have blown, Tech came out (they were nice). Still bizarre problems, gate would stay open, half closed, one side would open but not the other, start to move then stop, etc., etc. Called again, Erica answering phone was nice. This time "Freddie" the owner came (3 hrs before he was scheduled to arrive). Freddie said we needed a new battery at $160.00! I said that's high for a battery! We can get one for much less and, we were told the battery was "ok". (That would have been $1,000.00 so far to repair our gate.) Then realizing we are not going to pay for his grossly-overpriced battery, he immediately said, "We are going to have to charge you a service call." I protested since the gate has not worked right since they first came, in fact has been much worse! He became belligerent and rude. I told him to leave my property and I would give him an online review. He threatened "And you will hear from my lawyer." I hope I do. I bought a new even more powerful battery for $75.00. Freddie wanted to charge about $85.00 just to connect two terminals, which took me 5 mins. (About a $1,000.00 an hour!) Our gate STILL does not work properly, right now with the gate "closed" a juvenile, prowler or thief could easily walk through it! Beware! read more
