I started seeing Jill weekly back in January of 2018 (again, she is life changing). Jill helped me to begin to work through so many different issues that I was finding difficulty in overcoming (self identity, parental issues, anxiety, etc.). So here I am, re-posting one, which in itself should help you understand how important this is. Let me try to recall what I had previously written: Having been to many therapists - some when I didn't really want the help and some after I decided I wanted to get healthy. What I've come to realize is that Jill is the absolute best therapist, but ONLY if you are ready to get help. If you don't want to get help and if you plan on lying through your sessions, you won't like her. What I mean by that is she's not dumb and you're not fooling her, even if you think you are. And if you're trying, it's just a waste of money. I'm not saying this from experience. In fact, when I had Jill as an individual therapist as well as group therapist, I was more than ready to be in a better place. I know this because even in my willing mind, it was challenging. I find myself to be pretty well connected to my emotions, how I'm feeling and why, my upbringing, relationships, etc etc..and even still, Jill was able to make so many connections that I hadn't. I felt I knew the ins and outs of how therapy works, and I addressed that with Jill. I questioned what she was thinking about what I was saying and talked about myself as an individual vs myself as a patient. I was able to bring up the topic of therapy as well as all of the issues that brought me there in the first place. Jill's office became a place where no subject was off limits. I know it seems like that is what therapy should be, but very rarely have I felt comfortable enough with a therapist to really open up. As much as I may have made it seem like she's tough, she's also one of the nicest people I've ever met, especially in her industry. I have been in a healthy relationship for 3 years and just got engaged. I have thru-hiked the entire Appalachian Trail last year, and am currently writing this review from the Pacific Crest Trail. I am strong enough to physically, mentally, and emotionally be able to participate in the lifestyle that I love, alongside a person I love - two things I would have never been able to do had it not been for Jill. If you are living in Atlanta or in the surrounding area, know that there is a fantastic therapist that is very missed in New York and who is sure to change lives wherever she goes.. This is a relatively new satellite office for Grady Hospital. It's located off Lee Street in the…read moreWest End. Honestly I never knew this plaza was in this neighborhood. Once you turn into the parking lot turn left and look to the right. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a hello and a pleasant smile. There were 3 staff members there waiting to assist customers. They also have security at the door. The attendant asked if i had an appointment. I advised I had two appointments that day. She checked me in for the first one and advised me she would check me in for the second one after the first visit was completed. She did just that. I didn't have to remind her because she found me in the waiting area. The waiting area has plenty of comfortable seating and to my surprise there was phone charging stations. There is also a pharmacy towards the back of the lobby. I had an awesome experience with Dr Schenkel and Dr Redmond. They both have excellent bedside manner and were attentive when listening to me and my needs. They were thorough in their care. Grady has done so much for putting this outpatient office in this community and the new South Fulton facility coming soon in Union City. Give these folks a try. They will take good care of your needs.

About a year or so ago, I was pulled over in Cobb County…read more My second super speeder in less than a year. My fourth in three years. If you are unfamiliar with GA's super speeder law, its is speeding violation where you are clocked at going 20 miles or more over the speed limit. The officer claims he clocked me at 85 in a 55. So, after 7 months and paying a really good lawyer, the judge agreed to reduce the speeding ticket if I completed a 20-hour risk reduction class. The class is sanction by the state of GA, so there is $292 fee associated with the class. You aren't going to find it any lower. My particular judge would not allow me to take the class online, so you may find it cheaper if you can take an on-line course. Ms. Brown and her staff were patient with me and my I don't have time for this attitude. I had until February 23 to complete the class and of course I waited til the last possible weekend to do it. Again, Ms. Brown and her staff accommodated me and allowed me to pay upon arrival, but still held my space in the class, when they normally require the fee to be paid to hold your space in the class. Some others in the class, also mentioned they were allowed to make payment arrangements on their fee. You won't get your certificate of completion of the class is paid in full, but at least they are willing to set up payment arrangements with you. I really appreciated that each month from October to February, they contacted me monthly to let me know when the classes would be offered. The class ran from Sat 9-6, Sun 9-6 and Monday from 5-10. Thankfully, there were a several 15 minute breaks and a lunch break each day. I learned some things I didn't know about impaired driving, and while those things may not always apply to your situation, they will wake up your knowledge of those things. Professional staff and professional experience. While I hope to never need their services again, if you have court-ordered anger management, dui/risk reduction or need counseling services, I highly recommend this place. 17 of 100
