On my first visit this week I wore a mask, as Joanne had clearly informed me that they were still required. Fine. However, on my second visit, I reached for mask from Joann and and Chris said, oh she doesn't need one, she'll be in the small room. When the assistant came to get me ready, she asked for mask and I said Chris said since I would be in small room, I was ok to not wear one. Wednesday 25 May 2022 I showed for my third session. I was welcomed to the small room and given heat on my shoulders. When timer went off, Jess came in and gave me the plastic to begin workout. He directed me to put it AROUND the DOOR KNOB, and I inquired if this was safe--fearing it would get loose and snap me. Jess then directed me to put it around the door knob on the other side of door and closed it as he walked away. I Inquired why I was getting such subpar service and he commented, "Well, when you agree to wear mask, you can come out." Mind you, I never once refused to wear mask. Is this how catonsville PT treats a patient, a repeat patient? I felt so insulted, I informed Joann to cancel my remaining appointments. Now here I am, halfway through the six weeks the doctor scheduled for my return: one week I waited to get on schedule. One week I worked successfully with Chris. The third week since Chris was not there I was treated as subpar, as if I did not even deserve to be treated with the dignity of staff, mainly Jess, addressing me as an adult. Sincerely,

I spent 15 minutes on the phone given the answering service all my information my Workmen's Comp. claim number the approval for an orthopedic and everything yet to this day four days later I've still have not received a phone call back! I called them back and they sarcastically informed me they only except referrals from doctors offices!! First of all in the state of Maryland you're allowed to choose your own doctor with a Workmen's Comp case and make your own appointments . It's Maryland law !!! you're not required to let the doctor do them things it is your civil right in the state of Maryland if you have a referral you can call that doctor and set up your own appointment. You do not have to be at the mercy of your previous doctor to send referrals and approvals to a doctor. But this is how this doctor operates violating your civil rights bye only excepting referrals from doctors offices and not individuals. It's a form of discrimination!!! Not only that it violates your civil rights!!!! Why in the world would you want to use a Doctor Who so arrogant that he won't even return patient's phone calls and has an answering service taking all these phone calls so they can screen their calls. People that's a doctor you can't trust!!! It's a Doctor Who has no empathy and does not care about you as an individual. It's a Doctor Who has ignored the oath he took!!!!! It's is discrimination!!!!

Wait times were always reasonable and I never had problems with billing or any other hassles like that. Dr. Dreese himself seemed like a nice guy. He took the time to explain my injury to me and was happy to answer any questions that I had. The support staff (x-ray techs, nurses, etc) were all very courteous and professional. Thankfully I didn't need surgery so I didn't get the "full experience" so to speak.

A recent injury made me rethink my attitude that I could once again do the exercises at home without supervision. My husband has used Esterson Physical Therapy and I was glad I came to my senses. I was already familiar with several members of the staff and each is always professional, compassionate and empathetic. I recently met Dr. Nelson Almeida; working with him is Jasmine Soriano. Once I met Dr. Nelson, I wondered why I hesitated in the first place to consider physical therapy. He possesses an expertise that is truly amazing. He is truly an expert in his field. I never would've made the progress I made if I had done the exercises my orthopedic doctor recommended. Dr. Nelson was able to diagnose the problem quickly and took me through the exercises I needed to do, answering any questions I had with patience, empathy and reassuring me along the way. He helped me to get my range of motion back to where it should be. He truly put me back together. Jasmine helped as well, making sure I did the exercises correctly, encouraging and complimenting me without hesitation. Thank you, Esterson Physical Therapy, for having these two on your team. C. L.
