Example: you win the auction bidding on a widget for $5. There are 20 widgets in the lot . You pay $100 ($5x20 items). They generally don't allow a lot to be divided up. But, there's nothing stopping you from partnering up with a few others to buy it all and splitting it up at an equal savings!

I've spent over $1000 there in the past few weeks and the quality of the items I have bought is far lower than other liquidators I have purchased from. Yes, I know they sell returns. Yes, I know some return items are defective. But I've bought thousands upon thousands of dollars in returns at other auction houses and never had the terrible run of luck I have had here in just a few weeks. A big part of the problem is that they take one single photo of items, so you can't see any angles to get a good idea of what some of this crap even is. A photo of a cardboard box doesn't tell me much especially when they don't even take the photo of any identifying information like a SKU or a part number. One photo also means that 100% of any damage is hidden because why on earth would they take their one photo of a damaged area? If they took a few photos it would be harder to hide, but with one photo, you can always find that angle where something looks ok. And yeah, they say to come preview the stuff, but hardly anyone does. It's so far out of the way that two trips to the location just seems onerous, but apparently, physically going there to inspect stuff is the only way to make sure you're not buying a table with missing legs or a bicycle with no brakes. What do you do about electronics tho? Even a physical inspection will not inform you that nothing happens when you push the power button. And "preview" doesn't mean you can "test" items. It just means you can "look" at them. Most of the boxes are torn open, some are missing entire sides (cut open for preview maybe?) so carrying and loading items can be very difficult as well. All in all, not a good experience. I don't know if they are buying the lowest level of known defective returns, or if I have just had an exceptional run of bad luck with this one company. What I do know is that I won't be throwing away any more money at the QL Public Auction crapshoot.

One of the worst experience I have had with any business. All could have been avoided with a simple…read morephone call back. I saw an ad on Craigslist for a watch on sale. I called the business to let them know I was highly interested. I worked out a deal and arranged a pick up time. I told them I was coming from Ontario, which would have taken me roughly 2 hours depending on traffic to arrive. They were understanding and said that was fine and they would see me then. After rushing after work to head there, I made it on time and when asked about the watch, they told me it was already sold. I told them I was the one who called earlier and after a brief discussion with each other, that is when I was told, they don't put items on hold and it's first come first serve. Shocked at the information just given to me, I repeated that I called and arranged the pick up time and everything, but they stood there in silence before telling me "sorry, it's been sold". Knowing anything I said next would not get me the watch, I nodded my head and said "ok, thanks" and promptly left the store.
