Admittedly I have not been to 3R yet but I'm very much looking forward to it. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner jeff at a cigar function last night. It involved people sitting around talking and smoking cigars. He fascinated us for hours with his knowledge, not only of cigar brands but also the manufacturing processes, ways to enhance the flavors and pretty much everything you want to know about cigars. He also dispelled a few myths I had heard along the way. I learned more in that one session of sitting with him than I have in the 15 years I've been smoking cigars. My first two visits in the last couple weeks were great. The shop has an excellent selection of top brand premium cigars at reasonable prices. Better yet, Jeff, the owner, and other staff members and some of the regular customers made a point to greet me and visit with me. Made me feel at home, first thing. It is really a comfortable place. I had read some very old reviews that complained about the ventilation system. Forget that. On my second visit there were at least 10-12 guys all smoking at once and the ventilation system worked great. Finally, best of all, the place is what America should be - Black, Asian, Hispanic and White guys all sitting around together enjoying conversation and a cigar. 3R's will be my go to cigar lounge now that I've found it. read more

This used to be my go-to cigar shop when I lived south of 35. The owner (Reed) had a daughter that served as the tobacconist there once and her attitude turned me completely off. But I have a pretty intimate bond with this place. It's not a very large or swanky cigar lounge, like most that are in the northern areas of Dallas. They offer pipe tobacco and a varied amount of cigars. When this was my go to cigar lounge, the Wednesday night crowd was a lively bunch. The owner and the staff are all really nice and knowledgeable. This is a BYOB establishment, and they will store your whiskey until your next visit. The crowd tends to be older but the conversation is also authentic. The only knock on this place is that its small and they have a poor air circulation system. It tends to get smoked out very quickly. This is the only place I've been to where one of the regulars "Tony" can smoke a 7X70 cigar in 30 minutes. Whenever I'm on the south side of the metroplex, I always stop in for a friendly smoke and chat with old friends. read more
