If i'm being honest, I very rarely will buy clothing at full price from a retailer unless it's a special event. With the cost of literally everything else being expensive, I feel like clothing is one of the areas we can successfully get bargains on. The shelves are a bit chaotic but they do have lots of items. It's always fun to browse and see what you might find-- sometimes even brand new in box! We bought my daughter a kids scooter which retails for $45 and was $14 bucks here... you can't go wrong! I will forever love thrift stores.

They could take some help from the Salvation army on Erie Blvd. Merchandise is clean and sorted out on the shelves. I do stop in periodically to see if it has gotten any better but so far no. Not sure if the dressing rooms are open but when they were -nasty. Outside on the side dock, you can see stuff thrown all over. Cig butts and trash everywhere. Not sure if the people working there are all doing community service but obvious no one cares, and management obviously doesn't either. Seeing how they take care of stuff donated, have chosen to take it elsewhere. The irony of it is, this store is located in the former Leo & Sons Supermarket, these were people who cared about the community and went out of their way to help those in East Syracuse. This is such a pathetic replacement.

I cannot emphasize this enough…read more If the store does not have enough money to buy product from customers, PLEASE make that clear via Social Media or your website so we don't need to waste our gas and time. I came in 2 days ago to actually shop for a pair of shorts. As I was checking out, I had asked a worker what they were looking for in terms of styles. I was told men's clothes (which I will mention was emphasized) and summer clothes. I came in today with items the worker had just described to me as needed (including Lulu Lemon, Urban Outfitters, and other "on trend" brands). They took 3 men's shirts that my boyfriend destroyed. I honestly was thinking those would be passed on. The other 4 bags worth of clothes I was told were "too worn" or "not what they're looking for". After leaving, I noticed my clothes were still folded the way I had before bringing them in. Not to mention they mixed up my bags with my mother's bags and told me that "ya that happens". Screw this place.

The same clothes are, top-to-bottom, in the exact same order & folded the exact same way as I left them. An unfortunate waste of time in terms of selling.

Overall, I am stoked with my thrift store finds. The workers up front weren't particularly attentive. Their customer service skills were a 6 out of 10. The place has a ton of shoes and everything is nicely organized by color (including the plates/house ware section). There is a ton of clothes and some art, children's games, and lots of chairs. There is a large parking lot and they accept donations as well.

Many of my favorite pieces of clothing have come from this particular store. Also, there is a large assortment of housewares and, depending upon what is available, sometimes a large assortment of furniture. We needed several folding chairs for a family event and I went in weekly until I had the number of chairs that we needed. As with my clothing purchases, some of my favorite furniture items (bedroom dressers in particular) and housewares are from the Salvation Army. Although I am not an antique collector per se, I've seen some great vintage furniture and houseware itms for sale. As for the cleanliness of the store - well, these are donated items so not everything is sparkling! The long-time employees are friendly and engaging; some of the newer ones may not have acquired the skills to work in a retail environment - which is the case in even upscale retail stores as well. So I recommend a trip to the Salvation Army - even without a planned purchase in mind. You have to factor in enough time to look around. You never know...

I hope people are reading and paying attention to my comments. Thank you an advance…read more My story will be long about store location: Ononadaga Boulevard Syracuse NY 6 months ago I moved to Syracuse , did not have anything. I was happy to have this Goodwill story near my home . I shopped every day , buying furniture , kitchen items , clothes , toys for my nieces . I was happy to shop there and contribute my money to the goodwill community . I also did a donation of my clothes . Some time in December I had an experience to see that some employees living in the store with the big bags without stopping at the cash register to pay . I ignored , feeling that may be they allow to do that as a bonus. THIS IS SOMETHING TO CONCERN WHO EVER DONATING THEIR STUFF. Yesterday evening after my work , as every other day I went to the store. Shopped around the store ,looking for nice stuff for my home . Purchased few small pieces of furniture , some cups and more. When I came to the cash register , there was a employee who is very nice lady and a manager name Katrine. They told me that I changing the stickers on the items . The manager was very unprofessional nasty, insulting me on front of all costumers at the line. I asked her to show me any proof of what she saying . She said that she has me on the camera . I asked her to show me , she refused to do that . I called police . was waiting for 1.5 hours. When police arrived that didn't really help me saying that it is a private store and a manager can choose what to do . I got a police report number . Hope this number and my complaints to the headquarter will help to investigate about this store. Meanwhile I am not returning to this store any more. And once again, to people who are donating to this location , please be advice that your items will most likely will be stolen by employees of the store. We are the people who donate and shopping. This store is people to people .
