    I have been a tenant with them for over a year now…read more I have never been late on my rent. I have had issues with them sending strangers to my house, never scheduling the appointments with me first, or even verifying someone coming to my home. My privacy has been violated, on top of the constant harassment, they have raised my rent because I refuse to sign another lease. Not only am I receiving additional stress from financial pressure, as well as constant traffic from strangers in/ out of my home, the intimidation aspect they try and pull on someone is just appalling.

    Do not rent from this company…read more My family and I were impacted by Hurricane Florence and were in desperate need of a new home. We decided to rent one of Choice's properties over at 445 Spring Drive in Jacksonville N.C. The last tenants left that house a mess. The house suffered minor roof damage from Hurricane Florence which led to leaks in both guest bedrooms and the garage. Choice was so inconsiderate when it came down to trying to get that roof repaired. In late October /early November , they sent 4 different adjusters over to the house to assess the damages and all 4 times , choice demanded for someone to be home. (notices came literally 1 day before). The roof didn't get repaired until January 28th Thanksgiving was November 22nd. November 23rd, our refrigerator stopped working resulting in us losing all of our food. I reported it to choice immediately. Around November 27th, they sent repair man #1 out to look at the refrigerator and he said that we needed a whole new unit . I relayed the message to Choice and they told me that they wanted a second opinion. We waited another 3 days for repair man #2 to show up for him to say the exact same thing as #1. They finally decided to replace the refrigerator and we had to wait for Lowe's to deliver a new one. That took another 3 days. Choice didn't apologize not one time nor did they offer to compensate us for lost food. We received military orders to the west coast and had to end the lease early. We've only been in the home for 3 months & a half and Choice charged us over 1000.00 in fees and charges. Stephanie admitted to the carpet having permanent brown stains (which I notated at move-in) but she still expected me to have the carpet professionally cleaned. She also conducted a move out inspection without bringing the move in checklist to the inspection. She dinged us for things we notated at move-in. This is absurd ! People! Save yourselves the headache and rent elsewhere.!!!

    Per your response... You're trying to use family matters as…read morean opt. out. I am coming to you in a professional matter stating We're coming to you as the issues of the house. (Not Family matter). The pictures are the same as the day we signed the lease to less than 6 months moving to another location. While we followed the lease agreement and paid our dues. Do you handle all your rental agreements this way? Seems that you do if anyone was to read your reviews. The facts are the facts. Let's not make it personal Beth. Furthermore. Seeing that you keep referencing the "deposit money". The money we clearly told you at the end of our term when you said where would we like our deposit back? My husband and I clearly responded back keep the deposit. Per reading your reviews we knew we would not receive that money back regardless. We respectfully made that clear. Twice. I'm referencing to the text seen displayed in the image here you sent me last Friday. Which we did try to call you immediately after to discuss where is this said extra money of fees due? My husband talked to your receptionist because you wouldn't talk to him... My husband was inquiring about the extra $1,400.00 you were telling us you were taking us to collections for if we didn't pay. Your receptionist responded that was to cover damages previously done before we signed the lease with you. Which IS NOT YOUR CONCERN. Another reference you keep referring to. I lived in this home for almost 5yrs. before I signed on with you. The only itemized bill we received was from a professional cleaner for over $500. There was not communication attached with an invoice. Moving forward our Lawyer has advised us. If you do so decide in pursuing using our social security number to file a claim against us for being delinquent on this text. This is me responding.     Outstanding service. Jeff Price and his staff are on point for serving their customers from buying…read morea house to using a rental. We rented a house from them. Every work order was promptly processed. Ashley is very kind and responsive to our requests. Good people. I trust them.
