The first thing to know about this clinic is that Dr Richard Bochinski is one of the four or so…read morepodiatrists that practice here. I have heard from a few sources that he is the only podiatrist in the Edmonton area that can bill Alberta Health Care. The others charge for their services and you submit your bills to your health care insurance provider such as Blue Cross. He also has hospital privileges but only at rural hospitals east of the city. Basically once you agree to surgery you wait for one of the hospitals to call. I agreed to the surgery at the end of September and in January the hospital phoned me to say that they had an opening on February 28th. It was the Vermilion Hospital that phoned which is about 2 hours east of Edmonton. He also works out of hospitals in Wainwright, Vegreville, and possibly Camrose. This isn't as inconvenient as might at first appear. Dealing with some of our huge city hospitals is no fun and by the time you get to the Royal Alexander, find or pay for a place to park, find the right building, etc it might take almost as long as getting to the rural hospitals. I was very pleased with Vermilion. They treated me well and we could park right next to the door for free. My wife and I (you need someone to drive you home) decided to make a night of it and booked into the Pomeroy Inn rather than drive there early in the morning on the day of surgery. This also gave her a better place to wait for me than sitting in the hospital. In this review I'm not commenting on the skills of Dr Bochinski as I would either have to receive the same surgery from two different podiatrists or be one myself in order to be able to rate his medical skills. He fixed my foot but how can I know if someone else could do it better or worse. However I can say that he's a somewhat odd fellow. He's very busy and for my last appointment he didn't see me until at least an hour after my appointment. He wears his hair down to his shoulders and I find him somewhat difficult to communicate with. I still can't explain very well what he did during the surgery so I found an American YouTube video that provided the answers I sought. I just found it hard to get a straight answer from him. However that's all secondary to the end result. I'm now in my sixth week after surgery and can walk without crutches but with the aircast on. He said I'm doing well and after two weeks of walking with the big boot on my left foot I am to wear normal shoes. With everything going according to schedule I have to assume that he did a good job and that's more important that being a better communicator, although it would be nice to have both qualities in a podiatrist.

Dr. Enrico was punctual, friendly and very helpful. Front desk staff were also great. Highly…read morerecommend!
