And after we had our wedding, our guest did nothing but rave about how fun, unique and perfect the reception was. But just having a reception at RTM is not what I'd recommend it. It was so much more. It was having the incredible variety of foods - we had cheesesteaks, DiNic's roast pork, Chinese food, a salad bar, poutine and corn dogs, grilled cheese from Meltkraft, the list goes on. It was having a historic and unique setting that was transformed into a beautiful evening even with string lights, candles, table clothes, decorations and provided an ambiance it'd be impossible to replicate anywhere else. It was the servers who attended to our guests every need, kept the party going, the room clean and the people happy. It was every little touch that the planning team executed perfectly for us, that all happened without us realizing it, without any reminders or questions. The planning team at All About Events were the true heroes of the night - and in fact, the whole planning process. We met with them about 15 months before our wedding, and Christina, Stevie and Liam made sure that everything was easy, fun and exciting. Christina's emails to us were always clear and thorough, addressing every little question I had asked, and pointing out tiny things I never would have thought of. Stevie's communication with our vendors was so appreciated, including our Mummers and DJ! And every time we met with them, the meetings were exciting, joyful. Their personalities and kindness and caring for us and our events just SHONE. We could not recommend RTM and AAE more. They are a truly wonderful team, and a gem in the Philadelphia wedding scene. We were married on Labor Day weekend (a pretty busy weekend for the S.O. team considering they had 4 - maybe more - events that weekend). Even though they had so many other events going on, Sullivan and the team made us feel important and were always willing to give us a quick consult if we had questions. From the day my wife met Sullivan, I knew she was in love with her work. Unique and special, every arrangement is thoughtfully done. I remember looking around our venue and scratching my head to figure out where all of these crazy/awesome flowers came from. She and the team are super knowledgeable and are willing to think "outside of the box", which was really important to us since we are not the typical roses or carnation people. That's not to say that she cannot do a "typical arrangement" as I'm sure she can - we just appreciated that her work was NOT cookie cutter at all. S.O. met with my wife on many occasions to soothe her worries about the big day - something I give her extreme props for since my better half is overly detailed (one of the reasons I married her)! She coordinated pick up and delivery of some of our larger decor items since we had a house-full of things we wanted to use and no good way to get them to the venue. She even helped me to put together a surprise arrangement to be delivered to my wife just a few days before the wedding and featured some of the amazingly funky and colorful flowers that were to be used on the wedding day. On the day of, it wasn't just flowers. Her team helped to set up decor throughout the venue, perfectly capturing our (my wife's) vision for our special day. Throughout the process, she was honest and willing to work with us in figuring out how to maximize our money, making suggestions as to where we could trim back or add to stay within our floral budget. Since the wedding, my wife has participated in two of her flower school classes and has come home with some pretty awesome arrangements. I would recommend S.O. and her team any day of the week for some of the most amazing arrangements in the area. It's no wonder why she won Best of Philly 2011.
