This store seems very cluttered (some may say well-stocked, lol.) So much so, that it is difficult to get a cart through the aisles. My first visit, I brought a cart in from outside that seemingly had been left out in the parking lot by another patron. I thought I was doing something good. Contrary to my belief, an employee came over to me aggressively telling me that I couldn't use that cart inside the store. She demanded that I take my infant granddaughter out of the seat so that she could take that cart to their back room. This was NOT a good first impression for me! It took me several months to revisit! At the time of my last visit, it was most certainly not ADA compliant. It was still very crowded /cluttered throughout most sections of the store.

Easy to find; located on the main shopping walkway off George St. Walked right in and greeted. They were friendly, explaining the process and offering suggestions on the type of jewelry given where you were planning to wear it. Also explained their warranty--jewelry is covered should it break or should you need to have it taken off for surgery or something. If you are not nearby you can work it out to ship to them and they'd even put a clasp on it so you could wear. Based on experience of another place that we have been to for permanent jewelry that broke, this warranty is awesome! Easy process of getting the jewelry put on. Cost me $202 for 1 anklet (sterling silver) with a charm and 1 bracelet ( rose gold) with 2 charms. This is cheaper than what I paid before at another place when we were in Hawaii. Overall good experience.

The ambience is exactly what I needed, because I was trying to have a relaxing vacation, and this place was easy on the eyes, and the staff was very engaging in conversation. I even complimented the buyer on the many wonderful and unique items in the store. When I go to Saint Augustine again, I will be stopping in! This was, by far, my favorite little discovery in St. Augustine. We were in town for the day and…read moreone of the musts is walking along St. George St. We happened to turn down a random corner walked down a hallway which was was essentially an indoor shopping area with several small storefronts. As soon as we approached this store I spied their jewelry display and made a beeline. No olives in sight, hence their name. The store is super cute and the owner, Kristen, makes use of every inch of space. She has been there for 8 months and hopefully will be a fixture there. The selection of jewelry as well as how it was displayed sucked me in. I couldn't believe the price points. I even made a comment to Kristen on how I couldn't believe how cute everything was (nothing tacky and gawdy) and how affordable. She said that being off St George St. and not directly on helps. I probably spent a good 20-30 minutes here talking to the owner about the area and also shopping. The jewelry was very reminiscent of Stella & Dot so I spent time trying items on. Kristen also offered her long mirror in her storage closet since I was too short to use the one on display. Lol There were also fair trade items, vegan handbags based out of New Orleans made out of cork! What amazed me were the items sold to benefit worthy causes such as the handmade greeting cards made by women in the Philippines to end human trafficking. I could've spent much more time here browsing but I had my husband in tow so it was out of the question. I HIGHLY recommend this shop for that unique gift. The owner is so very down to earth and was a pleasure to do business with. Hope her shop is there the next time I'm in town but until then I will get my fix via her website and FB!

She texts me and lets me know that yes, the shirt order is indeed here and she's pulled me one in my size. When I practically skip into the store to collect said shirt, this woman CALLS ME BY MY NAME. Who even does that anymore?!?! Needless to say, I was *quite* pleased with this little gem of a shop. I will be back next time I'm in town and will probably order online as soon as I get home.

I was looking at a lot of pieces of jewelry and they were more than happy to pull all the pieces out for me. I also had a lot of questions about the different materials used and the stones, etc. They were very knowledgeable and were glad to answer all my questions thoroughly. The name of the store is The Shell Shop, so naturally you are going to find many things made from shells such as wind chimes, etc. But they have so much more here. They have wall art, fountains, mosaic pieces, jewelry (tons of sterling silver pieces), and so much more. One of the most interesting things I saw here were coconut postcards. I normally buy these from the China and Japan Pavilions at Epcot, so imagine my surprise at finding them here. They were also very, very reasonably priced... MUCH cheaper than I purchase them for at Epcot. One of them was hand painted and there was a small chip in the paint (not even noticeable when I have it in my hair), but I pointed it out and they gave it to me for 50% off. Even cooler because I was going to purchase it anyway. Very great shop on St, George Street in Historic St. Augustine. It's different than a lot of the "touristy" shops because they carry so many various items. Although, they do cater to the tourists as well who want something that has "St. Augustine" written on it. Don't miss checking this shop out if you're on St. George Street.
