We trusted Xepco to rent our vacation property in Palm Springs…read more We had a clear "no pet policy" in our Property Management Agreement with Xepco, which was included in the Lease Agreement with the tenant prepared by Xepco. The tenant was in our unit from April 2022 until February 2025. We are now spending over $43,000 to remove and replace everything damaged by animal urine and feces in our condo. This included 3-feet of drywall in MOST of the unit and ALL of the flooring. We just learned from one of the neighbors in the complex that the tenant had 4 puppies and a cat. In our opinion, one of two things happened: - Xepco did not know how to enforce a "no pet policy", or - Xepco did not care enough to enforce the "no pet policy". Honestly, we don't know which is worse. We are just heartbroken to see the property we've enjoyed for over 20 year in the current state that it is. Attached are some photos showing some of the damages (taken by Xepco) and some of the remediation (taken by me). The unit is currently being restored to its original state.
