We had a severe rain storm, the tarp came off and water poured through every single ceiling in our house. We found out when we were eating dinner and water started pouring through the chandelier. It was coming from everywhere! The owner came out in the middle of the storm, by himself, to climb the roof and re-secure the tarp. Very dangerous, but he did it! The problem came when an inspector came and told us we'd have to rip out EVERY wall and ceiling (we also had to have wiring redone) from all the water damage and mildew. The roof still wasn't done yet, and after they avoided answering our calls, we then found out that Zuta's insurance had "lapsed." They ended up giving us a "discount" on the roof...and finished it. Our back deck had been a disaster since we moved into our house. It also did not have any steps for access to the backyard. We spent a year and a half contacting contractor after contractor, no one wanted to help us get our deck up to par. Not one person that came out to look at the deck would give us an estimate on what it would take to fix the deck. Some told us they would only give us pricing for a new deck, others just ghosted us all together. Enter Mark Skerlec. Mark listened to our needs and then gave us a variety of options that could rectify the issues with the deck. After making our final decisions Mark quickly scheduled a date to begin his work. He was clean, he was quick, and he did incredible work. Our deck no longer sags. It no longer bounces when you walk on it. I also finally have direct access to the backyard. The most amazing part is Mark was able to take the time to match up the parts he used with the current design of the deck. Looking at it you would never know that it was once a monstrous atrocity. This was verified by the inspector. Instead of replacing the roof, HHI refused to do anything about it blaming it on faulty shingles. A worker from HHI even came back out to the house and agreed that the shingles on the one side needed replaced. The owner, however, refused to fix the problem. I would strongly suggest not using HHI for any roofing needs.

I called to arrange the repair and was told that Chris, the foreman, would call to make the appointment. A few weeks later I got a voicemail from Chris which I returned within the hour stating that I could leave work early the next day to meet him at my house. No response. THAT WAS OVER A YEAR AGO. Leaving someone with a leaky roof in limbo is not only a horrible business practice but a shameful way to treat potential customers. Obviously, I used another roofer.
