Parking is available on the side streets. The place has a bit of a hipster beach feel. Make sense. There's also a table with vintage vinyls and a turntable, for those who want to listen to oldies. Staff were friendly. Beers are decent and reasonably priced. The surfboard table looks cool, but the legs are wobbly. I recommend sitting at the not-so-cool tables instead. My only complaint is that they don't sell anything in bottle or can form. Growler fills only. Oh well, next time.

The place has an outer space vibe, and an amazingly cool vintage jukebox full o' 80s tunes to give it even more atmosphere. We ended up sitting at the counter and ordering a flight to share. They had a really wide variety of beers - everything from light to dark, including a sour or two. This place is my favorite type of brewery: family-owned and owner-operated, so it was cool to chat with the folks behind the bar because they also brew the beer. I wasn't a fan of all of the beers we tried, but there were at least a couple (including one, surprisingly, with a blueberry vibe - I usually don't like fruit beers but this one was pretty tasty) that I would happily return for. If you're looking for some beer action in White Rock, I'd definitely recommend stopping by.

Going into the Beach Cat brewery made me feel as if I was a coconut in a palm tree enjoying the light breeze and good company. The ambiance was beautiful there was indoor and outside seating with games available. It was a gorgeous place with an amazing view. I would recommend this place!

You'd never really pay a lot of attention to the building, coming up on it from the street (I couldn't believe it when she turned into the parking lot, thinking she must have had some errand to do first). She had to lead me inside along the speakeasy passage to the tunnel, it was so dark. I thought it was styled very fun and cute when my eyes recovered and adjusted. I wasn't super hungry so I only had the fried breaded pickles and the house battered prawns--both were great, but those prawns were something else. They were some of the best things I've ever put in my mouth--ever! Perfectly cooked, huge and moist and so flavorful. Their cocktail menu is great with lots of choices--we loved our drinks. We also loved Athena, our bartender and server, who had wonderful suggestions for us and was just wonderful in so very many ways. I so want to go back!

We were just in town for the day and hungry after tromping around the beaches all day. Is it always really busy? Hopefully- it's delicious. We took a walk down to the pier and back while we waited for it to open and beat all the crowds. We both had the fish and chips, which came with fries and coleslaw. I've never seen fries cut like this- as if potato jojos/wedges and twirly fries had a brain child?? Tasty though! The fish was crispy on the outside and I loved that it came with lemon AND there was malt vinegar on the table (and it came with tartar sauce too!) Perfect triple combo in my opinion and I didn't even need to ask. Coleslaw was great- not too much mayo or celery seed or anything weird. Just a good scoop of salad. I ordered scoop sauce on the side and it wasn't my favorite because I am the weirdo that doesn't like ketchup. If you like ketchup (and a touch of horseradish!) this is your sauce! It was creamy and balanced and it's popular.

It was very chill. They have 2 locations and this one is the more 'lax version off the side of a road. Their other locations is in Chilliwack which is more established as a restaurant type. After talking to the guy at the till, he mentioned that they switch flavours every thursday. That was intriguing and made this place more interesting. I guess it's a place I'll have to come back to time to time. This place is more known for their sours. I have to agree. The strong blueberry one was really good. It was packed with flavour, thanks to the blueberries. Some of the other fruit sours were a bit of a miss. I had high expectations for the strawberry one but didn't really get strawberry unless I thought about it... My fave thing about their flights are the drink cards that go behind each flight glass. It was a nice touch to be reminded of what you got and read the vision behind the drink. (Almost wish the photos weren't of the cans but more of a moodboard to convey the flavour's vibe).
