Super delicious or tasty beer. It is also an excellent gathering place too. We are rarely in White Rock and we decided that we should come check this place out. We order a flight for $8. We got the lemon ginger radler, lemon zest raspberry, double dog dare and strawberry cardamom gose. It was awesome that getting a flight includes pretzels. B liked the beer here. I personally really liked the lemon ginger radler. I am not a big beer fan but I have to say the lemon ginger beer tasted very similar to a ginger beer but with alcohol. We will definitely come back. Also best part is that there are free parking on the street or nearby.

Brewery close to Semiahmoo Mall. Parking is available on the street in this area. The area has plenty of vintage style wood paneling. Reminds me of Foamer's Folly out in Pitt Meadows. Staff were friendly. Beer flights are reasonably priced, but not their off sales. $7-11 for a tall boy? Yikes. The flights here come with pretzel sticks. Goes great with the beers. The holder is paw shaped, though it looks more like that of a bear than a dog. Unless the dog's name is Clifford. Lastly, I didn't see 3 dogs here. Didn't even see 1, in fact. Be sure to pop by White Rock Brewing around the corner as well if you're in the area.

An excellent craft brewery. All beers I tasted were interesting and delicious. Had a " Blue Buffalo" hot dog, very tasty. Highly recommended!

Stopped in after visiting family nearby around 3:30pm on a Sunday afternoon, have been curious about checking this place out. Sadly, we didn't have our dog with us as he would have loved the canine friendly vibes. There were at least 3 dogs when we were here! Just had a couple of pints and sat by the window. It was raining and cold so no one was outside but have walked by the patio in the summer and it seems quite pleasant. The beer itself was fine. I had a sour, the bartender waarned me in advance was not actually very sour, which was accurate so perhaps nice for those who aren't quite sure yet about them. Place was pretty packed by the time we left, but not obnoxiously loud, and a nice mix of age groups. Also saw some posters for a cribbage tournament which won my heart over. Would stop back in the next time we're in White Rock, wouldn't travel for this but get the sense it's well loved and frequented by the locaL crowd.

But don't sleep on Squamish's limited-but-delicious food scene. A solid place to start is Backcountry Brewing, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bar and restaurant on the back side of the towns main shopping plaza. Since debuting in 2017, Backcountry has been a British Columbia beer darling; now, Backcountry prides itself on an ambitious lineup of limited-release beers. From the outside, the converted warehouse blends in with the rest of the industrial block. But inside, Backcountry is lively and inviting. The accents sport a tan and teal color palette. The bar to the right is decked with retro bulbs and a letterboard menu. Sound-dampening panels and camo-shaded lamps hang down from the soaring exposed HVAC. Each table is decked with a laminated BC map and mid-century modern chairs. Eighties tunes echo around the halls. My partner and I visited Backcountry after a full day of hiking, ready to chow down; we ordered a sandwich, a pizza, and a few flights. The Soprano -- Italian Sando was piled high with capicola, mortadella, and prosciutto cotto on a fluffy, poppyseed-laden foccacia. Our side of Five Guys-style, wedge-cut fries was rich and salty, and we loved each one of Backcountry's house-made sauces more than the last. The Meat Your Maker pizza was a deliciously nostalgic riff on the classic meat-lovers pizza. The thin crust stood up against the hefty helping of toppings, and the poofy cornicione paired perfectly with the exciting sauces. On the brewery side, the flights proved to be a fun deal. Across the beers, I was most impressed by the sours. Our collective favorite was the "Plan B? We Need A Plan C, D, E, We Need More Alphabets" (a basil-forward pineapple sour), while the "I'll Take You To the Candy Shop" (a peach-centric sour) and the "Might As Well Go For A Soda" (a gummy cola-esque cherry sour) were strong competitors. Meanwhile, the non-sour beers I tried were relative duds, including the "Never Taken A Shortcut Before?" oatmeal stout and the Sneaky Peach Cider. The service was friendly but somewhat inattentive throughout the meal, and the bill came to about $60 (after tax and tip). More than anything else, Backcountry satisfied -- it achieved the ideal brewery balance of fun, elevated, and casual. After our stay in Whistler, I admittedly had low expectations for Squamish, but Backcountry Brewing was a beyond-pleasant surprise, and I surely would visit again.

We were just in town for the day and hungry after tromping around the beaches all day. Is it always really busy? Hopefully- it's delicious. We took a walk down to the pier and back while we waited for it to open and beat all the crowds. We both had the fish and chips, which came with fries and coleslaw. I've never seen fries cut like this- as if potato jojos/wedges and twirly fries had a brain child?? Tasty though! The fish was crispy on the outside and I loved that it came with lemon AND there was malt vinegar on the table (and it came with tartar sauce too!) Perfect triple combo in my opinion and I didn't even need to ask. Coleslaw was great- not too much mayo or celery seed or anything weird. Just a good scoop of salad. I ordered scoop sauce on the side and it wasn't my favorite because I am the weirdo that doesn't like ketchup. If you like ketchup (and a touch of horseradish!) this is your sauce! It was creamy and balanced and it's popular.

It was very chill. They have 2 locations and this one is the more 'lax version off the side of a road. Their other locations is in Chilliwack which is more established as a restaurant type. After talking to the guy at the till, he mentioned that they switch flavours every thursday. That was intriguing and made this place more interesting. I guess it's a place I'll have to come back to time to time. This place is more known for their sours. I have to agree. The strong blueberry one was really good. It was packed with flavour, thanks to the blueberries. Some of the other fruit sours were a bit of a miss. I had high expectations for the strawberry one but didn't really get strawberry unless I thought about it... My fave thing about their flights are the drink cards that go behind each flight glass. It was a nice touch to be reminded of what you got and read the vision behind the drink. (Almost wish the photos weren't of the cans but more of a moodboard to convey the flavour's vibe).
