Great place to stop after visiting lake Koocanusa. Chocolate dipped soft serve cones and milkshakes are our favorites here.

4.5 stars! We got a chance to try some bratwursts from Saucy Dogs by chance while driving thru and…read morestopping by the Columbia Falls Farmers Market last Thursday evening. We were intrigue by the variety of hot dogs that Saucy Dogs offered (mainly, the exotic sausages like elk and bison meat) that we are not used to having in the Pacific Northwest. Saucy Dog offers different types of hot dogs from kid size hot dogs and vegetarian hot dogs to the vegetarian as well as the elk and bison hot dogs (all of their hot dogs range roughly from $5-$11ea). They also serve their hot dogs in cute, folded license plate trays, also accompanying the dogs with a pickle spear. We tried their elk and bison dogs...and we both liked the bison hot dogs a little more than elk, partly because the bison meat was a little juicer than the elk. Also the sauce on the bison dog was less overpowering the taste of the meat. If you have a chance, definitely check them out. Based on the time that we spent at the Farmers Market, they seemed to be quite popular among the crowd.

YUM! We were walking around the weekly farmer's market when we came upon the food trucks and this…read moreone right away caught my eye. They have a good amount of dogs to choose from, I went with their chili dog with jalapenos. I'm not a chili dog person so I don't even know why I went with this option but I was glad I did! The dog was enormous and definitely very messy. Since there wasn't a table option I just found myself a spot on the grass and tried to devour this as nicely as I could. The food is served on bent license plates which I found to be really cool, nice and different. When you're done with your food you're asked to return them to the bus tub by the food truck. I had been looking at some other snacks I wanted to try but after this dog that was pretty much impossible. I hope to run into this truck again when I return for the summer.

The atmosphere was lively, the waitresses and waiters were helpful, and the drinks were great. We would definitely come back again. Food: 1. Fish and Chips: The dish was well cooked and had great flavours. The fish was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. Would recommend. 2. Veggie Burger: The beets and sauce inside the burger really gave it a nice flavour. Would recommend. 3. AAA Alberta Beef Melt: The beef slices were very tender and melted in my mouth. The au jus was well seasoned and tasted great with the sandwich. Would highly recommend. 4. Cod Tacos: The fish was well cooked, but lacked some flavour and tasted bland. 5. Heid Out Burger: The BBQ sauce had a nice flavour, but the beef patty itself was a little under seasoned. 6. Char Siu Beef Wrap: The portion size was good and the enoki mushroom had a great favour. The beef however, lacked some flavour and tasted bland. 7. Spicy Pickle Sticks: Well seasoned and the pickles were still crispy. Paired well with the cider. Drink: 1. Red roof cider: This was probably one of the best cider I've tasted. It was a little on the sweet side, but I would still recommend it. 2. Flight of Beer: A great way to taste some of the restaurant's beers. Atmosphere: Lively and a good spot to relax after a long day of work. Service: The staff were very friendly and the food came fast.
