PROFESSIONAL, clean, friendly, talented, caring and most amazing experience! I've been coming to the shop for years This picture is a dedication to my cat that passed in October. He was my fierce lion. He kept me strong. He kept me wanting to fight for everything. With this being said I went to Two to Tattoo and I went to another place which I'm not going to mention their name and I gave each one the same picture and asked first can you do this but incorporate something of my cat into this tattoo, I met with Matt Carroll who does black and white lines only and we discussed it and he said he can absolutely incorporate some of the characteristics of my cat into this lion. The other place I had been text messaging for about a week and I never heard anything back until after I booked the appointment with Matt. I was sitting on the table and received a text message back from the other tattoo place and they quoted me no lie $3000 , for the same exact piece that I got at a fraction of the amount they quoted, way under 1000! now let me tell you I am so glad that I booked my appointment with Matt at 2tone, it's not the first time I've been to 2tone and it definitely won't be the last time I go. This shop is amazingly clean, very professional very customer service friendly The artists that are here are all amazing. All nice and so very talented. The prices are more than reasonable. Now I sat with Matt for 3 1/2 almost 4 hours and I don't know if you've ever gotten a tattoo but when you get a tattoo, it's kind of a personal thing and you share a lot of information back-and-forth. This man has so much talent and loves what he does. I gave him 150% freedom to do his artwork. I gave him a picture for reference. It didn't have to be exact. I gave him a picture of my cat and what I was looking to do, he incorporated my cats eyes into this tat, the color, the shape, the exact characteristics from my photos . Matt does black-and-white, grey shading and it wasn't hard to talk him into doing a pop of color which he was totally on board with and my tattoo came out amazing it's absolutely beautiful and stunning and it is a piece of art that I will be proud to wear and show off and tell the world they need to go to the shop! Now here's another note if you are looking for amazing talent without having to sell your firstborn or your car just to get a beautiful piece of artwork. I suggest that you go to. 2tone Tattoo because you will not be disappointed! Like I said in my review, every artist in this shop are professional. They are so talented and I think they should be charging more personally lol but the prices are so reasonable. I can promise that every person in this shop will treat you amazing and you won't be taken advantage of and you definitely won't be covering up their work. I will definitely be returning over and over and over again. First and foremost I want to say I loved this shop, cool little shop out in NY, clean and well maintained, and reasonably priced. I looked at their portfolios and I can say all their work looked awesome. I got tattooed by a Chris, who was a cool dude and really worked to make sure we got the images right and exactly what we were looking for. I love the tattoos me and my friend got, but there are some issues. I putting the photos attached here, my NY fill in tattoo and her Sully tattoo as you can see are bruised, her sully tattoo is extremely bruised to the point that it spread around her arm with swelling and bruising, my NY it more localized bruising. I have had quite a few tattoos done over the years, and in many different states by a lot of talented artists and I can say I have never had bruising on a tattoo, or anywhere near as much bleeding during or after a tattoo that I or my friend did on these. I am not a tattoo artist so I can't speak to why bruising occurred, or why they bled so badly. Still would recommend this shop, but I note the 3 star is due to this healing cause it is concerning between that and the bleeding during and after the tattoo. Just as an extra foot note, I have had 8 hour sessions done and an American traditional that stretches across my entire back and neither of those were nearly as irritated as these tattoos. read more

Millennium Tattoo in Newburgh will charge you 80 vs 120 I was quoted here and had to walk out because the artist could not execute a font neatly. Had me choose from sloppy ridiculousness. It was a memorial tattoo for my brother on his bday and the artist told me I needed to create the font for him. I have over 20+ tattoos and been to artist all around the (nyc, LA, Copenhagen, etc.) world and never dealt with this type of unprofessionalism. Skip Matt the artist and go to Vrom in Millennium tattoo. I was a walk in from out of the area and got lucky finding the Newburgh spot after such a disappointment. Thanks to Chris my ear is saved !!! I had to take it out because of an mri . I couldn't get it back in . I went and paid 20$ for a ring and for it to be placed back in at another new shop on 211 . It was a size to big . It was killing my ear all day . So at that point I'm in pain and 20$ out of cash . So my friend told me to stop in here . I did and he told me the gage he put in was to big . Charged me $5 . That's it and I was on my way a happy person again !!! So thank you Chris for helping my ear out !!!!! read more

From start to finish, this was an excellent experience. I went into the shop blind because the artist who I was referred to is out this month, but the shop manager hooked me up with another who had an availability within a few days of when I dropped by. I had a reasonable quote in my visit and then went home to await the day. Coming back, I received the same excellent service with friendly greetings, and any help I needed, that I had on my first day there. My tattoo went quickly and smoothly, and I even paid a little bit less than my original estimate. I was tattooed by Chris and the experience was excellent. I'm happy with the experience completely and will definitely return to this shop in the future. They are CASH ONLY (like most tattoo shops!). Everyone was friendly, the place and instruments very clean, but my tattoo came out horrible. It wasn't what I wanted but was steered toward it due to what I thought was a good creative mind by the young girl who performed it. Boy was I wrong. It came out uneven, unbalanced and overall just horrible. One other thing to mention is MAKE sure you get your estimate in writing. I was given a verbal price at the time of booking with NO mention of the possibility of it costing more, depending on "the amount of time" they take on the tattoo. The price I was quoted was $150.00 and the price she tried to charge at check out was $350.00. There was no reasoning with them or the owner about the situation and all stated that "this is how all tattoo shops handle pricing. This was my third tattoo and neither of the other two shops tried that game with me. When you quote a price a company, unless playing pricing games, will stick to the price. Needless to say I refused paying that amount but did end up paying $250 which I only did because they were wearing me out. Buyer beware! read more

Just had my daughters Bachelorette Party here, we had 10 Ladies getting Tatt'd and 2 piercings , Everyone at shop was wonderful ! Shop was closed just for our event , and having 4 tatt's in the past done by other Artist, Charlie did a great job ! Not one lady complained . And they all have been tatt'd before by others . If I could not give any stars I would! My sister and I went here to get pierced and the place looks awesome so I thought it was legit. Boy was I wrong! The piercing guy told us he was going to sterilize the jewelry and instruments. He came back smelling like weed and looked high. Should have been my first sign to leave but I didn't because the price was good $40 bucks for a lip ring. I left there excited about it and 30 minutes later the earring fell out!!! He didn't tighten it and it came out! I ended up getting an infection and my sister's piercing got infected too! What a mess!! If you want an infection and a crappy piercing go there! read more

Like the other people, everyone is cool as hell. Maybe a little too cool... Nothing was really official as far as filling out any paper work until they moved into their new shop. On top of being bad at business, I feel they definitely lack the artistic capability to do what I wanted to have done. Small stuff, maybe, but why risk it? I had a pretty big back/side piece started out by, Ed (the owner) who even cut me a deal a (100 for each session) because it was going to take a while; I thought that was pretty awesome of him. However, you truly get what you pay for. My biggest mistake was going back for a second session. The octopus was anatomically incorrect, color where there shouldn't have been, and the point of getting the tattoo was to have a name covered, and both times he did not do it. I took my business to Millennium Tattoo in Newburgh, NY. just recently not to my surprise I was told it needed to be basically redone. Just after one session I had 98% of the outline done, and it actually looked like an octopus. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more
