My husband asked if we could go before it turns cold, so I booked a hotel in Gadsden and we had a wonderful overnight trip. Love Collinsville Trade Day flea market as there is always something for everyone. We walked to the top of the hill where the live animals are sold and made our way down and around the isles. We weren't shopping for anything in particular but got some good deals. It was a perfect cool/breezy/sunny October day which made it even better! Alabama is a lovely state! If the drive is less than two hours for you, it's definitely worth it. They honestly have everything from cribs to coffins. In fact, that's actually one of their catchphrases. When you pull up, don't resist the urge to turn around. Go ahead and pay the $1 to park. As you get out of your car in the grass parking lot, you'll be looking at what can only be described as a shanty town... at best. It's what you'll find in these shanties that makes this place special. Are you looking for a goat? Maybe a new shirt, some advil, a poster, a bike, a remote control car, a remote control, some jelly, a loaf of bread, chainsaw oil, a pig, or a book on how to speak pig Latin? This is your place. Make the trip to Trade Day. Just trust me.

Was wandering around downtown Gadsden and came across this gem. As you enter if you stay to the…read moreleft you'll find graphic novels and new release comics. That quickly transitions to back issues galore! They have probably 100 long boxes worth of comics to browse. Higher end stuff can be found in the display case (Graded books) and on the back wall (more graded books and harder to find issues). The back room is stocked with comic supplies and provides a place for people to do some gamine. Staff is friendly and willing to order stuff if they don't have it on hand. Pretty easy to get lost in here for a significant period of time if you're into this type of stuff. There are a few other places that sell comics in the area, but this place is definitely the go to location for a quality experience.
