We went to listen to our 9 year old granddaughter sing one song in her school chorus there. Parking is available for $25 and valet is $35 but if you have a handicap placard, it's free. When we went in, there was lots of signage. The park is gorgeous. Clean, lots of security, blooming flowers, lush greenery. Unfortunately we missed the chorus because they started earlier than the time they told us to be there. However, we met up with rest of family and enjoyed the park. The kids went on the carousel. I joined them. Then there were kiosks filled with various merchandise which they were selling. Afterwards, there was an equestrian jumping competition. I was in awe. There was stadium seating. This was all FREE! There was a huge screen broadcasting the entire event for all to see. Food areas were on the grounds to purchase fast food. It was something to behold and we can't wait to return another time with other friends to view the horses and next competition. I understand they have this every Saturday.

We purchased tickets for the Tiki restaurant to have guaranteed seats, however we would not do that again. The open seats that are first come - first serve are actually directly in front of the riding ring. The tiki area has limited view with each a price of $100 a ticket. Made little sense once we figured out the view was not great. We ate food there, it was good- not amazing. It did fill the spot. There are plenty of areas to take photos with statues of horses, a free merry go round, flowers, etc. It was great entertainment. I grew up competing and riding hunter jumpers, so I am partial ... however I think anyone would enjoy an evening out viewing these beautiful horses, people watching, eating and shopping! Enjoy! (four stars due to the limited view with a high price to sit there) Parking was $25 and the event to walk in was free.

The tall Christmas tree made out of sculptured sand is surrounded by a fence. They warn folks not to lean or sit on the fence. At night from 6 pm to 10 pm, they have music every 15 minutes. The songs vary. The music and different colored lights "dance" alongside the music. The colors change the look of the tree and the surrounding areas. A water fountain with jets also goes up and down in time with the music and lights. By the side is a Ferris wheel. It charges $5 per ride in a locked cage with seats. Our friends took a ride which was about 7 rotations. They had great views of the city and even out to the beach and the breakers. Across the street by the boats and water are a few small sand sculptures, too. Another cool thing is to get some of the official 3D glasses. It makes the colors of the star on top of Sandi appear to multiply and the lawn area in front of the tree looks like it is filled with outlines of Christmas trees. Families with kids were especially enjoying playing in the area, running through the fountain, and posting fun photos as gingerbread men.

On the last night of the event at 5 PM my friend sent me a text that she wanted to go so off we went. I am so glad we did because I loved it. The garden hired an outside company to decorate it and I thought they did a a very nice job. My favorite lights were the plastic palm trees but I thought all of the decorations were very classy. Not all of the garden was open but a good portion was. I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. As we strolled Christmas music played throughout the garden. I enjoyed taking pictures and getting to wring out a last little bit of the holiday season. Our visit took an hour and then we headed over for snacks and drinks at Old Key Lime House. I didn't mind the $10 entrance fee because I know it goes to support the garden. The best way to visit is definitely during the day when you can see all the plants and flowers. A new exhibit called TWISTED: Patrick Dougherty Entwined is opening in January. It was still very nice to see the garden lit up at night too. I definitely enjoyed my visit to the night garden.

Festival hours are 10 AM to 5 PM. The festival showcases a diverse collection of fine art from local and national artists in tents. Art work included sculptures, paintings, jewelry, photography, ceramics, metal, textiles, and many other mediums. Visitors had the opportunity to chat with the artists to learn about their inspiration. I always enjoy the Florida wildlife art the most. The stately buildings and flamboyant flowers made the perfect backdrop for the beautiful art. The weather could not have been more perfect for the festival. This is a family and pet friendly event. Surrounding the festival are a number of restaurants and shops. The Water Pavilion was filled with children enjoying getting soaked by the shooting jets of water. One of my favorite stops each year is the Sunshiners tent where you can find handmade outdoor objects that project glass sparkles all over your yard (or house if you place it indoors). They are made from glass and copper! I also love that they have a few food vendors so you can eat while you shop! Kettle corn, arepas, beignets and freshly squeezed lemonade to name a few.
