23rd where have you been all my yelping life, in fact nay maybe more than my yelping life…read more So I took a break from my oriental expedition I've been doing for the last couple of months, you've gotta have a change, and I'm so glad I did and took a punt on this place. It's on the Just-eat app so that's always one of my first ticks. They deal in some serious Dough here and have clearly been listening to ladies complain about size (cos that's always about pizza right??) They only do one size of pizza... 20inch, yes 20inches of pizzarey goodness. Granted there are options to just order a slice or a half, but who would do such a thing! well maybe sensible people but I've never claimed to be that. Now I read some of the reviews and there were some unhappy people, but there were also a lot of very happy people and the happiness outweighed the sadness so it seemed reasonable they were 'blips' I also love sides, yes I'd just done a 20inch pizza but we've already established me food sensible is not a accurate thing and never will be. So seasoned & spices fries went on as well as Mozzarella sticks (technically it was part of a meal deal ok, I'm sucked in by advertising... when it's takeaway food... and supermarkets) I also chucked on a milkshake as one of my housemates a few weeks ago had one from another pizza place and it was amazing so I figured I'd see if these were the same type of shake (i.e. did everyone get theirs from the same place) or something a bit different. Now the actually behemoth of a pizza. I chose the veggie option, Peppers, Onions, Black Olives, Spinach amazing except for one minor detail, the veggie has one failing point missing from it. MEAT, but that's ok because I just added Tikka Chicken and sliced steak on it... BOOM! now we're ready. I ordered earlyish for a saturday I suppose 6.15, the app told me it would be with my at 7pm, many of the unhappy reviews had been about lateness but I wasn't too bothered it wasn't like I had anywhere to be I was settling in for a TV mammoth session of films. No need to worry though It arrived just before 7, brilliant... and it was at this point my brain registered how large a 20inch pizza is... :D .... :S ... :/ .... :D The pizza was delicious, my word I haven't had pizza this great in literally years I'm not even sure what pizza I could compare to it I was so happy with it, the ingredients were all full of flavour, the base was reasonably thin which meant you were just filling up on dough brilliant. Thin base did make the first couple of slices initially interesting to try and eat, but after those I was a pro at the physics of fold and lift. the BBQ dip that came with the pizza for the crusts had quite a spicey kick to it, the glaric herb mayo was standard. The base being thin though and not stodgy meant I could happily eat the crust without the dips for the most part. The fries good, seasoned not dissimilar to Almost Famous winning fries Mozzarella sticks, fine just what you expect from them The Milkshake... sadly this was bad, they talk about their milkshake being awesome thick affair for your tastebuds. But I think to keep it cold they pile in loads of crushed/shaved ice, so by the time it gets to you sadly its a watered down minimal flavour cup of disappointment. Oh well you live n learn, everything else meant I barely spent another moment thinking about it. Oh and the meal deal came with a large bottle of Fizzy drinkage... they have Fizzy Vimto it makes me so cuddly and fuzzy inside!!! Overall, I'm not bothering with another pizza place unless this place start messing up. I have definitely found what I'm after in pizza takeaway delivery goodness Some may say then why the 4 star, and you'd be right to question this place definitely ticked my boxes but if it wants 4 stares it'll have to perform consistently for that. Oh and for anyone thinking I'm some kind of food shoveling bin with all that food, of course it wasn't all eaten last night, I'm not that much of monster...... Todays lunch was delicious too

I'm almost certain I ordered a Steak Out, but what arrived was definitely a Meat Feast. A Meat…read moreFeast by any other name is still a Meat Feast, and is really not my favourite pizza. So we were off to a bad start. After picking off the bits of meat I found least appealing (pepperoni and chicken) it wasn't too bad. Nice as takeout style pizzas go. Also, huge. I wisely ordered a half pizza and could only eat two slices in one sitting. Mozzarella sticks were fine, nothing exciting. The deal cost me £12 with free delivery which is alright for the sheer amount of food you're getting. I would order from here again if I was after that sort of thing, though maybe over the phone so they can't send me the wrong pizza.

Its therefore got to be something special if its going to be a success, and whilst Venice Pizza is not at all bad, it doesn't have what it takes to usurp the superb take-aways of Fallowfield. The speciality is, well, Pizza. For me the best is the margarita because the toppings are not as good here as elsewhere, whereas the bases, cheese and tomato can compete. Also, its incredibly cheap, at £2.50 for a fat off pizza.

The answer may surprise you, but probably won't. This little takeaway had a lot to live up to being, as it is, on the same parade as local favourite pizza dispensary Happy Days. Cannily it neatly sidesteps any arguments about whether or not it can live up to, or surpass, its competition by completely undercutting every other kebab, pizza and fried chicken shop in the local area. Chicken burger meal for £2.50? Done. Two donner kebabs, two chips and two drinks for £7.50? Sorted. Greasy, meaty pizza for under £3? Abso-flippin'-lutoley. They don't taste as good as the examples from the other Fallowfield takeway alumnus but who cares at these prices! Last time I walked past Happy Days one of the staff was sticking a poster in the window for £1.50 cheese and tomato pizza. He looked very unhappy. Looks like it's going to be a year of tightening belts for purveyors of fast food and a tightening of waistbands for the students of Fallowfield.

They offer all the usual options - burgers, fried chicken, kebabs and pizzas but whether due to a lack of real competition or just some sort of general apathy don't bother to do any of these very well. The kebabs are fine but lacking in kick and texturally a bit leathery and the pizzas end up so thick with toppings that the vegetarian special ended up looking a bit like a quiche (which, when I finished the final couple of slices the morning after, is almost exactly what it tasted like. This place should, by rights, be very busy - Victoria Hall is around the corner and there are plenty of students living on Hathersage Road - but despite some pretty decent lunchtime offers Urban Spice always seems empty. Take that as a sign and get some Chinese or Fish and Chips from West Lake next door or make the walk up to curry mile for a kebab.

After ringing the established the store was infact delivering untill 5 am, but would only accept payment online. However, this would not allow for my 60% discount for being an employee of the company. Speaking to the manager over the phone I explained that I was an employee, and had ample proof of that (as I had brought my hat and had the Shrewsbury store group chat on my phone). Unfortunately, etiquette and basic manners were not trates the store manager possessed, as he simple hung up the phone to me. I was shocked. Shocked that a company that prides themselves on great customer service could accept such a practise, especially from a store mamager. I sincerely hope this is looked into further, and that action us taken against the store in question. Regards A very frustrated employee P.S unfortunately I had to abandon company loyalty, and had to collect a pizza from Papa John's. And I must add, it was rather nice and I would recommend.

In fact I'm so comfortable with it, I'm not even feeling guilty. The Two for Tuesday offer, which means you can essentially get two obscenely large pizzas for the price of one, allowed myself and my loved ones to feast for three days straight. Note: Domino's pizzas reheat exceptionally well. (Follow-up: For god's sake keep it refrigerated, don't blame me if you get a sore tummy now.) When we review chains on Yelp we're often asked, what makes this different from any other? I shall divulge. The students of Fallowfield, despite appearances, are a discerning bunch, and this practically 24 hour shop ensures that delivery happens on the dot. Right bang smack. Oh yes, I sat there and tracked it once on the page they offer for this process, just to check. Literally as soon as the clock on my computer hit 15 minutes past, the buzzer on my building sounded. You can't argue with that. Piping hot and on form too, without any quibbles over incorrect orders or mashed slices. Overall Domino's might be a stupidly pricey option if you're just getting food delivered on a regular night, but if you're getting a whole free pizza on top of your order, then the issue's resolved. I'll keep using this Domino's when I'm peckish and desperate. Judge me all you like...
