They are always updating and changing things around for the better. Its spacious, bright, clean, and just lifts my mood to go there. After getting dumped by my girlfriend around January while recuperating from my quadriceps tendon…read morerupture, I've decided to sign up at this gym so I could channel my anger in a positive direction. Best decision I made thus far this year. In spite of my injury, I've been motivated and just now starting to see positive results. This gym has been around for a long time now. It's very big with plenty of amenities and exercise equipment. The equipment to me seems to be maintained well. In the event that a particular exercise machine is out of order, maintenance will place a work order and expected due date that the machine will be operating properly again. As far as treadmills are concerned, this gym has a variety of brands. Plenty of treadmills to go about using so wait times are never really much of a concern except during peak hours. Due to the extent of my injury, I'm not capable of running anymore so I now primarily use the stationary bike and elliptical for my cardiovascular needs. The bikes are good, but unfortunately all of the ellipticals are of the Precor brand. I wish that this gym had the Life Fitness brand as well. I prefer Life Fitness ellipticals because it has better hand placement in relation to my body. Obviously I can't speak on the women's locker room, but the men's is generally clean. Through the locker room you can access the sauna, steam room, and a little whirlpool area. The sauna and steam rooms are a little small but still sufficient. There used to be a pool access but they have now closed it down for good in favor of additional exercising space (which I feel is unnecessary). This is a good gym. At only $30.00 per month (not including tanning) you'll get your money's worth. The only thing that I don't really like about this gym are the rather inconsistent and confusing hours. Mon-Thu it is open from 4:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m., Fridays: 4:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Saturdays: 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., and Sundays from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Now get your butt off of that couch and start lifting :)

I cannot recommend the Wynfield Plantation experience highly enough. I recently went for two full…read moredays of quail hunting with my father (preceded by an afternoon of skeet shooting). A little background: we have hunted before and are both well-traveled, especially my father--we went on two African safaris, for instance. All our expectations were either met or exceeded by the fine facilities and staff at Wynfield. First of all and most importantly, the people--from the administrative staff and general manager to the cooks and guides--could not have been more gracious, personable, and accommodating from the moment we first called to the moment we left. We very much enjoyed talking with Kurt and our guide Randy, in particular. Since it was my first quail hunt, Kurt let me have a free Wynfield hat to commemorate the occasion--and they didn't charge me when I asked to buy a Wynfield coffee mug, either. The food was excellent and varied, and bottled water and soda were always on hand (and, after the afternoon hunt, beer, wine, and cocktails as well). Cold water and soda were even available--and frequently offered--while out on the hunt. Our cabin was likewise more than satisfactory, with cable TV, mini-fridge, coffee machine, toaster, central AC/heat, comfortable beds, and delightful interior decorating. It was also spacious and clean, and they provided housekeeping each day while we were out on the hunt. As for the hunting itself, it was by far the best hunting experience I have ever had. The quail are plentiful, the guides are extremely capable, and the dogs are simply amazing. They are also very flexible and accommodating when it comes to the hunt--they told me, for example, how they enabled someone paralyzed from the waist down to hunt from the jeep (there are seats out front on the jeeps for the hunters and kennels on the back for the dogs).
