Here's a comical story about 210 Watermark that is currently unfolding as we speak. My fiance moved to 210 Watermark on April 8, 2022, and I moved in shortly thereafter. We were model clients, always paid on time (it's almost $3K per month for a 3BR). After I moved in, this leasing office chick Amanda K. Boitet starts talking to my wife, commenting on how great I was with our son etc. I didn't think much about it, thought she was being nice. A few months after I move in, I then provide the 210 Watermark leasing office with a) a completed lease application to add me to the lease, because we are about to get married; b) the required $100 payment for the lease application; c) a copy of my Florida Driver's License; d) a copy of my automobile registration, in my name; and d) a copy of my proof of automobile insurance. Boitet then issues me a 210 Watermark parking decal, which was great because you will get towed in minutes on this property if you don't have a parking decal. Everything was fine.
Then, one day at the 210 Watermark pool, my wife makes the mistake of telling 210 Watermark leasing agent Amanda K. Boitet, who was also at the pool, that we got married in September of 2022. Huge mistake.
We then start getting Bradenton Police Department 911 calls dispatched to our apartment at all hours of day and night, for "wellness checks", and even an anonymous 911 call on Valentines Day when both Hillsborough County Sheriff deputies (???) and Bradenton County Police Department officers show up to the leasing office, followed by BPD officers then coming to our apartment to perform a Baker Act inquiry into me, an anonymous call. I answer the door in my literal boxer shorts, invite BPD into our 3BR apartment, and then waive all of my rights against unlawful search and seizure and tell them to search our apartment. I then show these two BPD dudes our guns in the apartment, which are just air rifles for target practice and not firearms, then the BPD officers apologize and close the case as maliciously unfounded, as I am not Baker Act material. Then one of the BPD officers hints to me that it was the 210 Watermark leasing office that dispatched these cops to our residence, off the record.
Now mind you, I have had a grand total of three (3) conversations with Boitet, since the beginning of time through the date of this one star Yelp review. On a side note, if there were negative stars on Yelp, I would clicking on -1000 stars for this experience, as it's so bizarre and completely off the wall. I am on the lease, I have paid the required fee, I have a 210 Watermark sticker on my car, everything was fine until my wife drops the fact to Amanda K. Boitet that we got married, while she was lounging at the 210 Watermark pool and then Boitet started talking to her, as she was also at the pool that day.
I then go to the 210 Watermark leasing office and tell them that a) we are always current on our financial obligations, and b) if you do not immediately leave us alone, we are going to sue you for housing discrimination.
210 Watermark leasing agent Amanda K. Boitet then disconnects our access to the 210 Watermark Resident Portal. We no longer have access to our own lease documentation as a result, and like idiots we should have printed out the amended lease that reflects me as a co-lessee.
210 Watermark leasing agent Amanda K. Boitet then marches straight to the Manatee County Circuit Court, and files a stalking petition against me. Apparently I have been skulking around the parking lot, following her around and making her afraid for her life, and that I threatened to kill her on February 9, 2023 when I went to the leasing office and told them we are about to sue for housing discrimination if these 911 calls to our house continue. On a side note, there were two (2) other employees of 210 Watermark present who witnessed the entire thing, not one word from either of them on the stalking petition Boitet filed; in addition, the 210 Watermark leasing office is loaded with cameras, so there is video and audio surveillance records of exactly what was said - we are going to sue you if you keep calling 911 to our residence - none of those records were submitted or requested by the Manatee County Circuit Court.
The Manatee County Circuit Court then transfers the matter to the Family and Domestic Relations Division, which turns it into a sealed proceeding. As in, you as a member of the public cannot view any aspect of this case, because this chick Boitet has somehow presented a jilted lover case to the court, and now I am in the Family and Domestic Relations Division of the court... with our leasing agent?
It gets way better though. The court issues the injunction, a Manatee County Sheriff shows up, and I am told that I have to immediately leave our residence because I am stalking Boitet. This is filed under Manatee County Case No. 2023DR000868AX, but you can't see any aspect of the record because... (continued) read more
