I guess I'll be the odd man out here and not give a 5 star review…read more I'll preface by saying I had to reschedule my initial consult twice (inconvenience to the company and doctor), and I was set up on a promotional 3 free visits. Is it possible that those things came into play in my situation? Yes. Am I sure? No but either way, I am not satisfied nor am I willing to waste more time here. I came in this week on Tuesday for an initial consultation at 930. I was given paperwork and then a tour. Now its around 10 AM The place is clean and well taken care of and recently remodeled it looks like. The receptionist and staff are friendly and smiling. The girl who did my first few tests was very sweet and took time to explain each test she was performing. Now its 10:52 and she sends me to a room to wait for the doctor to perform an X-ray. I wait 10,20 , 25 minutes while hearing him do adjustments and talking to his patients. The walls are VERY thin. Finally at 11:30 I walk out to the front to let them know I will just reschedule if the doctor is busy. He was standing there , at the desk when I said it( I had no idea what he looked like, ha) . So he says no I'm ready now..He takes me back and does his measuring and xray and tells me why I need to get my sporadic pains treated because they are bound to be worse in ten years. That I stand lopsided and one leg is longer than the other. I ask "oh,, what can I do about that?" His arrogance on display "Its not something you can fix its something I fix" NO details about treatment were given, everything is either a rush, or a smart comment. I got a condescending attitude no matter what I said. He finished up evaluating my spine, and flexibility etc. around 12pm. "You're a mess" was his last comment. I just didn't get the feeling that I would be cared for in the manner that I wanted. Then I made an appointment to return at 1pm to view my results , then I realized I was already there for 2 and a half hours for a consultation! I decided another day would be best so I scheduled for this Friday. (Tomorrow) to view my "results" but they texted me today to see if they could move it back another 15 minutes (meaning another 30-45 minutes) It seems like they have an overbooking problem and an overconfidence problem. I'll pass and if I find I need a chiropractor in the future I'll check elsewhere. I don't ask anyone to sugar coat or kiss up to me , but if you want to get my business Respect is number one. It seems like its not on the list of priorities here. But it looks like I had a unique experience.

I found myself needing chiropractic care after childbirth and I was put on a full year adjustment plan with Dr. Gibson. I initially had no complaints but 2 weeks out from my "graduation" of said plan, I developed nerve pain that was not part of my original problem. While I did enjoy working with Dr. Gibson, my concerns about the new nerve pain were never rectified and the prices skyrocketed to an amount I could no longer afford. While they do offer in office X-rays and spinal decompression, this was about the only difference when deciding to go with a larger chain like The Joint at a more affordable rate.

I was very clear about pre-existing neurological problems. The quality of care and concern was lacking and it's all about money for this office. On my 12th visit I told the doctor something really hurt, but he continued and then when it was excruciating he was dismissive and told me to calm down he could see a PTSD reaction. The first visit the staff had told me a specific co-pay, but were not up front about additional charges. After the 12 visits they erroneously said my insurance only covers 12. Insurance will cover, they didn't want to deal with it. They have left me with more severe injuries than I started. I've been bedridden and a prisoner of my house for over a month due to injuries I sustained there. The front office staff is friendly. One star is being gracious.

As a former service member I suffer with autoimmune disorder, fibromyalgia and low Testosterone levels which I feel were brought on by my exposure to burn pits. I also have a history of shoulder, hand, and back surgeries which in May, 2022 forced me to undergo an L4/L5/SI back fusion surgery to remedy degenerative discs and herniations. As soon as it was permitted after I began physical therapy (PT). I have severe neuropathy to my left leg/foot while my right foot also remains numb. Needless to say my balance and other motor skills are severely delayed. While making some progress with PT, I began experiencing a new numbness now in my fingers, hands and arms. For every good day, I experienced 3 bad days where I just wanted to stay in bed, be left alone and suffer through the head and body aches all with living with the uncertainty of not knowing if I can regain any quality of life.
