Ciara is BEYOND amazing so beautiful inside and out, knowledgeable with so much background in botanical garden field and then some! She hand makes most of the candles here and was SO helpful with absolutely every question I have (the other girls are lovely too) but Ciara I would trust with my life when it comes to taking advice with any and every candle, incense, soap, decorations, and everything because there is so much that can be overwhelming she gives a very safe and nonjudgmental vibe. What an amazingly woman SO good at her craft with these beautiful soaps and candles, I already can't wait to come back and see her to get a couple birthday presents for my sister and bestie in July! I'm happy she's there most days and you can always tell when someone loves their job because they just glow. She's one of those people and if you ever need any advice?! I swear she's the go to!!! I ended up getting a of their couple candles, some wax melts, incense, an incense holder, 2 pieces of soap, and she helped me pick out all of it! The owner, Christine, was super helpful from beginning to end. There was ample time given at each step to make your selections. You get to choose the size and shape of your candle basin, mixed a custom scent, and then decorate to your heart's delight. Not only did we have a lot of laughs, but we got to take home two great candles. The total cost is just a $25 deposit for the class and the cost of your chosen base. Fabulous value! We will definitely be back to do this again with friends.

One of the main perks of making a candle at Maddy's Place is that you can come back with your vessel and refill it The other important ingredient to a girls night - wine, of course! - was also readily available and a great selection for their limited space. For the price of the candle (very reasonable compared to most custom/homemade candles), it was an enjoyable evening that was topped off with going out on the town for dinner and a few beverages while our candles cooled...what a perfect excuse to extend our girls night! The containers are somewhat overpriced for what they are, and all-in-all it's a very fast activity for what you pay. They also have a to-go slime kit.  We were leaving Tahoe that day so we wanted to make something that we could bring home the same day. The kids each made a garden and a candle. For the garden, we chose a pot which varies in price. We then got to choose a real or fake plant. To plant, small rocks went in first for drainage and then we filled it with dirt. Now comes the fun part to decorate with the add ons. There were different types and color rocks, moss, and tiny figurines. My kiddo loved getting his creativity on with all the options.  For the candle, we chose a container which varies in price also. We then got to choose the colored wax to break it apart. It was actually easier to break it with the hands then cut it up. Once we were done with that part, we got to choose a scent, then a wick was added, and clear gloss was poured over to seal it.  It was a cute and fun experience. The best part is that all supplies are provided, and no cleaning is needed.

If you haven't ever used beeswax candles, the burn time is so much longer than other candles. I purchased the Tropic Citrus scent and I am so in love. The candle is burning in my living area but my whole house smells wonderfully! This business is primarily online so you can shop 24/7! I can't wait to try more of their beautiful scents!
