Honey Baked Ham's sandwiches are filling and honestly a breath of fresh air. Placed super close to my school its been my go-to sandwich shop. The meat is cut thick and the hickory smoked honey mustard is by in far my favorite condiment. Make sure to ask for crunchy onions on your sandwich nicely and buckle down for a solid lunchtime meal. At first glance the sandwich isn't that large and you question if it really even is worth the price but honestly it's filling, clean, and quick. Sure its like a dollar more than I would care to admit but the Tavern Club is a great deal for what you're getting. Now that Covid is clearing up, there is plenty of seating. The only thing that I would change is that the sandwich menu is way off to the side and isn't easy to find upon first entering the restaurant. Make sure to pick up a punch card and fill it out for a free sandwich! Every Tuesday is double star day.

The atmosphere outside would probably be nice at night (they have outdoor seating, tables, lights). The torta was the best thing we ordered, it was good! Unfortunately, all the meat we got was dry and unseasoned. In the torta it was masked by all the other ingredients, but all of the tacos are more simple, so the unseasoned meat couldn't be covered up. The pork on the al pastor was so dry and flavorless I couldn't force myself to take more than a couple bites. The rice and beans also tasted unseasoned and flavorless which was very disappointing. All of this wouldn't have been so disappointing if it wasn't extremely expensive (we are visiting from DC and even street tacos there are cheaper!). We were expecting high quality for a meal that was almost $70 total (9 tacos with one side of rice and beans, one torta, and a soda).

Friends and family tried to talk me out of it and said just get a few quotes! I called Friends Catering and we met for coffee. They talked with me about EVERYTHING I may need for a wedding and personal experiences with their daughters. They made me see reality! I then agreed to hire them and a relationship was created! They checked in on me for the next few months on how the planning was going too. A week before we met and went over final things and they assured me not to worry about a thing! The day of the wedding I thought nothing about the food! I was so full of emotion over my daughter I cannot imagine if I had done the food myself. The staff were on top of every thing and did everything that was asked! ALL of our guest were raving about the food and how delicious it was! They even accommodated our guest with Gluten and other allergies. I and truly grateful for these ladies and the piece of mind they gave me for this special day!
