The best meal, hands down, of my two-plus week French and Swiss Alpine trip and the best French meal I've ever had. Friendly service, comfortable, warm atmosphere. The wines were lovely and our server was more than happy to advise pairings. I enjoyed the escargot, served in their shell and a lovely garlicky butter; eggs poached in red wine, with mushrooms and onions; house-cured salmon with a light salad, roasted potatoes, and a scoop of creme fraiche, which was just all-together divine; and a surprisingly light, yet succulent veal liver with roasted potatoes and vegetables.
