A Mexican restaurant found in Girona surrounded by Spanish and Italian restaurants, bars, cafes and retail stores. The decor was the "Day of the Dead" paintings which are a big influence to Mexican cantinas. It was busy which was a good sign, but it was the beautiful ambiance pulled us in from the cobblestone walkway. We sat down near the window and ordered three tacos - pork, beef and chicken, which were presented open faced with all the toppings exposed. The habanero sauce was crazy HOT, but the chipotle sauce was excellent to drip onto my tacos.
We also had an amber beer by the company Tacos & Tapes which was cold and slightly hazy which was a delightful liquid used to wash down the meal. The server surprised us with complementary shots of tequila to end our superb eating experience.
The "Day of the Dead" decor flowed into the clean bathroom which was appreciated and a nice touch. read more
