This complaint should have been posted back in June, but I'm posting it now, so y'all know what you could potentially be in for...
We made our rent payment for the month of June a few days before the first, we wanted to make sure that it went through, as we didn't want any issues to occur, we noticed that the payment in the back was still pending, so my girlfriend went ahead and processed the payment AGAIN to make sure the payment fully went through, not know that it would go through twice, so when the Metro West Apartments received both payments, my girlfriend went up to the leasing office and explained that she only intended that one payment went through, they told her only the bank would be able to refund it for her, and to dispute it with the bank, so she did that and the bank gave her the funds back, the leasing office did NOT tell her that a fee would occur in result of this, I went up to the office after seeing this fee due, and it was expected to be paid even before the next months rent was do, it was a $50 fee, so I went up to the leasing office and spoke to one of the ladies there and she said that they told my girlfriend that this fee would in fact occur, I asked for what?? She said for non sufficient funds, I stated that made no sense, as the rent was accidentally paid twice and she only had the bank return one payment, and she was only doing as instructed by you, the woman continued to argue with me stating that my girlfriend was told about the fee, I spoke with my girlfriend after and she assured me that she was in fact not told about the fee, my girlfriend couldn't dispute it herself because of her work hours, so she was just going to give in and pay it even though it was complete BS, they tacked on an additional $100 as we did not pay the $50 fee in the time frame that they wanted, mind you this is $150 in fees that we are now paying for literally NO GOOD REASON! But my girlfriend went ahead and paid it, because she was too mentally drained to go dispute it from working...I've wrote a couple other reviews on here in regards to them having my vehicle towed, I literally HATE this place, and cannot wait until our lease is up, the Leasing management is garbage and the ladies are act like they're too good to care about you.
They left a warning on my car to update my car registration, or they would have my vehicle towed, so I had it updated, emailed and communicated in person verbally with the leasing management that everything was up to date, my stickers were returned back to sender because of a mailing issue, so they emailed me asking if I've received my stickers yet, I emailed them back with communication that no I have not received the stickers yet, but my car registration was indeed up to date and they had the information proving that, they went ahead and authorize that my vehicle be towed anyway, when I went up to the leasing office, neither one of the women were apologetic, they just gave me the information for the towing company where I had to find my own resources to make it over there in time to pick up my vehicle. The leasing company is extremely rude, full of ego, and very cold and impersonal.
