I have ran, biked, roller-bladed, walked, swam...all in effort to stay in shape & for love of exercise/sports. I can honestly say I thought I use to give myself a decent work out....that was until I joined 180 Kettlebell Gym. This gym redirected my efforts in a meaningful and supportive manner. Now... 3 hours a week is my schedule. I go for 1 hour on M/W/F. This mere 3 hours per week sets my metabolism in high gear and gives me the strength I need to chase my 5 and 3 year olds. (Not to mention the ability to fit back into my pre-prego clothes!) I still enjoy my outdoor sports, but at a new level. I have more strength now than I ever had before. I have been going for 3 years...only 3 hours a week. I have worked up to some higher weights...and at age 41, I was definitely humbled this morning by a few gals that are a few years older than me. I love it because it impresses me with how much I can still gain to achieve more agility, strength & endurance....and yet makes me feel proud with how far I have come. This gym is about support and helping everyone achieve what they want to achieve. No fear. No embarrassment. No egos. Lots of support, instruction, and energy. It is personal. Before I use to love being lost in the crowd. But, honestly, that got me no where. The classes are in a group setting and everyone is helpful, friendly and encouraging. And lastly, I LOVE that I don't have to think about what I am doing. Jodi has it all written up on the board and guides the hour so I just have to move and work. I show up, I work-out hard and I leave....I put full trust that they are managing the different muscle groups and keeping my body confused so that I get the most out of each hour. I appreciate the workouts more than the owners could ever know. It has set the stage for my healthier life as I enter my 40s and beyond. That is something I can't thank them enough for. Jodi is awesome not many people offer this type of workout you need a special certification. It is the type of workout only those who are serious about training well stick with and you WILL see results. I'm a local firemen and I need kettle bells to keep up my endurance level plus i increase strength. I also ref hockey games and to keep up with the speed and incredible pace of hockey games it is a prefect fit for me. kettle bells allows you to train at any level and any age with the care of a personal trainer who is always encouraging and supportive. I started at the keetlebell gym spring of 09 to get ready for my 30 year class reunion. I had not been in a gym or at a workout class in many, many years and was quite scared. But Jodi, starts you out at a level you can handle and know when to bump you up to a new weight. I left the gym sweaty and feeling like "wow, I did it" I like that we are all there for the same reason and at different levels all supporting each other and having fun, all the while we are getting into shape. have been exercising for a number of year and my past workouts have included running ,walking, and most recently group classes (Body Pump, Spin, RIPPED) at the Lino Lakes YMCA. While I have enjoyed these classes and felt that I was getting a good workout, 180 Kettlebell pushes me to a level I have not been pushed to in the past. This is a fast result way to work out! After the first session or two, my entire body felt tighter! The instructor is fun and friendly too!
