I live in Chicago, but planned a wedding in Omaha, Nebraska. From our initial phone conversation, I felt immediately relaxed. Royce joked with me and let me ask as many questions as I wanted without making me feel like I was being a crazy bride. She also followed up with emails as the wedding got closer. Two-three weeks before the wedding, I was in town and asked if Royce would mind if I stopped to by to actually meet her in person. Even though it was last minute on a Saturday and she had a wedding to photograph that afternoon, she still carved out time in her day to meet with me and my fiance. The Big Day finally came and looking back, I can't imagine having any other photographer next to my side the entire day. We booked the "all day package" and it was totally worth it. Royce showed up at the hair salon before we did and immediately settled in with me and my bridesmaids. She is so incredibly laid back and wonderful- she fit right in to our little group and by the end of the night, I actually was sad she she had to leave! The next morning, my sister and I joked that we wanted to be her friend in real life. She was that cool. We just got our photos back (almost 900 photos in a two week turnaround!) and they are AMAZING! I posted a couple here so you could see her work. Royce is such an amazing photographer and I cannot imagine having a better experience with any other photographer (I know I already said that but it's something worth repeating). She made me and my fiance feel like we were the most important people- there was none of that superior feeling I felt with other photographers. Your wedding day is one of the most special and intimate days of your life- be sure to pick a photographer who not only recognizes that but highlights it! Last note: Royce's prices are unbelievably low. In a couple of years, I wouldn't doubt that people are paying twice what I did to have her book their weddings! Get her while you can!

Voila, there was Royce. She has a way of making everybody feel comfortable as she's shooting. It's very clear that she's a people person who loves her job. I think my fiance and I were laughing throughout the duration of our engagement session. When it came time for the wedding photos, we (along with our families) were at ease throughout photo after photo because she made it fun. As with any event vendor, communication response time is important. Royce was very responsive when I emailed, and I never felt worried about the status of our plans (nothing's worse than emailing a vendor who takes several days to respond, or who you repeatedly have to chase after). She then took the time to gently and carefully wrap him in blankets, put on little hats, etc. She has a shushing machine that plays a sort of white noise that my little one seemed to like. I really enjoyed watching her creativity as she moved from set to set in her studio and I even got to make a few little suggestions. It was just a fun experience overall. About a week later I went back into the studio to choose the images that I wanted to purchase, and then the final images were ready in about five weeks. She offers various packages as far as prints and digital images. Her prices are definitely not cheap but I'd say they're justified due to the absolutely beautiful end results and the smooth process. I didnt know this and had to reach out to her. She had yet to even edit the originals. Well winter was harsh and alot of set backs with trying to fit her hours as she only wanted to do later in the evening and winter is COLD!!! well my daughter never got her second session as she never got back to us and then hasnt even edited the originals from the first session. Well my daughter graduates this week and we have no pictures. I paid her like a dummy the full $600 and now she is ignoring my text messages, and my venmo request of $400 which letting her keep $200 is generous as it was a quick 45 min shoot the first time in her hometown and 1 picture was edited as i needed that for her year books and at the time she'd text me back. Very unprofessional and i feel bad as the person who recommended her is like family to her and didnt think she'd do this. BEWARE!!!!! especially for senior pictures if you need someone. Had she done good job i have one kid graduating this next coming year but thankfully found someone way cheaper and wont be two separate sessions (which had she had indoor studio i could of seen two sessions).
