This business has earned my patronage for life as far as I'm concerned. Not only are they extremely kind and friendly, while offering incredibly reasonable prices, but they practically worked magic for me. My graduation dress -- white eyelet cotton -- had been in storage for over a year and had yellowed considerably in that time. I brought it to them, and though they warned me they might not be able to fix it, when I picked it up it looked AMAZING. I almost cried with how happy I was; I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to wear it again, but they brought it back to life. Additionally, any cosplayers around should know this is a great place to bring cosplays. They're very knowledgeable about what fabrics, alterations, etc. can stand up to their process, and quick to offer advice if you should look into another cleaning method. They're very non-judgmental as well -- I brought in a maid dress and a suit that was covered in cat hair from my cat sitting in my suitcase after a con, and they didn't even bat an eye. I've been using this cleaners for about a year now and as of today will not be going here any more. I've used all of their services: leather cleaning, dry cleaner, shirt laundering, and tailoring. All cleaning is done off premises and returned in a timely basis. All tailoring is done on site. Prices are reasonable and what you would expect for Center City. CASH ONLY! However, I have gotten back my shirts numerous times in the past few months with oil stains and starch stains (even though I get everything done with NO starch) from the steam presses. I don't know if this is the real cause, but the stains weren't there when I delivered the shirt. After a second cleaning, the stains were gone. It was just annoying, that's all because I either couldn't wear the shirt or had to wear it with a sweater. Shirts are $1.50 each and dry cleaning is 20% off if you bring it in on Tuesdays. read more

GREAT dry cleaning service. I was searching for a tailor in the area and decided to take a chance on this place. The inside is surprisingly nice and clean for a dry cleaners and they even have 20% off on tuesdays which is nice. The pricing was great and the workers are extremely friendly. When I brought in my bridesmaid dress (which was a couple sizes too big), they tailored it so that it fit like a glove! I needed it ASAP (due to procrastination on my part) and they were nice enough to give me a quick turn around. Definitely worth every penny. read more

First strike-- I paid a fair amount of money to have a bunch of shirts very poorly pressed Second strike- The service on another occasion was slow and my clothes weren't ready as scheduled Third strike-- They completely ruined my fiances dress two days before our engagement photos. Took a one of a kind dress and managed to press out the pleats which made the dress flow. My fiance was furious and so upset DO NOT USE THIS CLEANERS. They are over-priced, tend to be unreliable, and do not do their own work. Everything is shipped out to some incompetent cleaner. I really hope they tear this place down and extend 1500 Locust Apartment's lobby. It should no longer be in business. Overall: 0.5 stars (for trying to do something) read more

1500 Cleaners is a rarity. It's clean when you walk in, they accept credit cards (including American Express), and the ladies that run the business are some of the loveliest people you'll meet. I started bringing clothes here for work a few years ago, and they constantly go above and beyond to acquiesce to my last minute requests and demands. They point out stains I don't notice and get them removed, they keep track of pocket squares or collar stays I leave in by accident and return them cleaned at no charge, and always with a smile and a thank you. I've also trusted them to tailor some of my more expensive items and all have been handled with the utmost care. I moved further away from them last year but continue to use them exclusively. When you find a dry-cleaner this good, why change?! read more

This place is horrible. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be given back stained clothing. I recently moved to Philadelphia and have used their services exclusively for shirt laundering. At least half of the shirts I have given them have been returned with oil or starch stains (Even though I stated NO STARCH). The proprietor declares that they were submitted in that fashion but, unsurprisingly, has no proof to back up his claims (Stories of notes taken on the stains do not hold water when you cannot produce those notes with corresponding dates). The folks at 1500 Cleaners are fantastic! The staff is extremely nice and professional - they really care about their customers. I was recently married and, on the day before my wedding, I brought my brand new shirt to be pressed at this location. When I left the store, my phone quickly rang and it was the cleaners. They noticed a pink dot on the front of my shirt! I was in a panic; however, they assured me that they would work quickly and take care of it. This was a custom shirt, so I could not replace it in time. Fortunately, by the end of the day, they returned the shirt to me in PERFECT condition! This is a customer service gem that I stumbled upon earlier today when I was frantically running between meetings and remembered I needed to get measured to order a bridesmaids dress by phone. The staff was beyond friendly and offered to measure me despite the fact that I was not a paying customer. I even offered money for the service, but was politely declined.
