Let me start by mentioning that I've had my share of experiences with poorly performing inspectors…read more- whether it be a lack of knowledge, field experience, or proper attitude. I'm a contractor and truly appreciate working with a high-level professional inspector. Residential projects are now part of my past but a part of me remains skeptical of inspectors until I'm convinced otherwise. Charles has met and exceeded all expectations in his role as home inspector of a house we are purchasing from out of state. His communications have been timely, detailed, and clear. He was always open to discussion about our general concerns or questions. What's more, his reports were presented in a detailed, interactive format that was easily navigated and provided the creation of a repairs list (including many pictures taken during the inspection) to share with other parties in the purchase. His fair and comprehensive assessment of the conditions on the property and the ease with which his reports could be reviewed resulted in a smooth and more secure purchase process with no opposition from the sellers (including the repair request) or concerns from either agent. Lastly, the service included multiple inspection reports - sometimes required by insurance companies - and a lengthy phone discussion about the findings. His fee, especially when considering all that he offers, is a great deal.

I almost felt like he was there for the seller, the entire inspection was less than 30 minutes. The report they provided was basic and missing items even I noticed are in need of attention. Eugene was there for nearly two hours looking the house over top to bottom, using not only his eyes, but several other gadgets to ensure he didn't miss anything. The report I received was comprehensive, visual and covered all aspects of the home. This gave me a really good understanding of what was in store for me if I purchased this home as an investment. Eugene noticed several items that neither myself or the first inspector discovered and the seller didn't disclose (although I later found out they knew and withheld the information.) I will certainly be trusting and referring Eugene from Above and Beyond Home Solutions for all my future inspections needs!
