However, we cheated a bit and drove straight across after Lorne cause we had a baby in the car and she was getting grumpy and tired from being in the car. Luckily for us, staying in Port Campbell allowed us to hit up the Port Campbell National Park super easy the next day! We were staying in town and the national park was an easy 10 minutes from where we were. Some of the best sites along the Great Ocean Road are in Port Campbell National Park, including The Twelve Apostles (the most iconic site for Great Ocean Road), Loch Ard Gorge, The Grotto, London Bridge... they were all within minutes of each other so it was a lot of driving and stopping on day 2 of our drive! We got to see everything we wanted to see and then headed on to the Bay of Islands, which is also fairly close by (less than 30 minutes for sure). I think Port Campbell National Park holds some of the most iconic natural phenomenons you want to see when you google Great Ocean Road! Come one, come all before everything erodes away due to natural circumstances and the ocean waves! Beautiful and glorious - a must see at least once in one's lifetime!

In Australia, it's great to have an experience with the coastal areas, and this one is one of the most famous spots on the Australian coast. The drive is 3 hours from Melbourne. The 12 Apostles are rock formations that stick out of the water near the beach. There were 9 rocks, now there are 8. This park is really a must see if you are near Melbourne. There's another area to go to where there is a gorge and arch. The views are beautiful if you like coastal rock formations and beaches. Check out my pics and you will have a clear idea of what you can expect to see at Port Campbell National Park. We also stopped by a picnic area where there are restaurants and shops nearby. I bought some souvenirs.

Adventure is about being off the beaten path, facing challenges with quality people and coming out the other side. The tour leader took the time to help me with my motorbike skills. I had only started riding a year before. I returned a confident rider with a constant yearning to be on my Enfield. Nevermind helped me get my L plates and my first two motorbikes. I vote with my dollars and love supporting a local business that is so engaged in the community and the places they tour. Followed up with a Tasmanian ride as well. Well worth the time. Fantastic business. I highly recommend. Cannot wait until my next adventure.

The support people (Indian and Australian) were very patient, knowledgeable, understanding and helpful in every way. The motorcycles worked to perfection given the local conditions and the mechanics made sure they were good to go every morning. The route just got better and better. The accommodation was great (western toilets at every stop including glamping). Three meals a day were part of the adventure and were fine (especially if you enjoy curries). I wish I could go into more detail about how fantastic this trip was, its just too hard to put into words. I'll be doing more.
