Emotions were high, and words were exchanged resulting in me being assaulted by four employees of the hospital. One was holding my dying fur baby in her arm while attacking me. Officer Ryan McAdam was called to the scene. Not only did he ignore my request for an ambulance, but he refused to call his supervisor, continued making threatening statements at me, leaving me to fear for my life. He lied to me about seeing the security camera footage. He told me "from what he saw" I deserved what I got. I recorded him saying all of this. When a witness came forward to show Officer McAdam what she had recorded, he ignored her. Thankfully she text me the video which clearly shows me being assaulted. Officer Brianne Campbell was assigned to the case. During our meeting, she had written down on paper all of the details. She seemed to care at that moment. She promised me upon her return from vacation, she would contact my witness for a statement. She also said she would get the footage from the veterinary hospital's security cameras. She didn't do any of that. I later found out by someone else that those cameras never worked. I finally got in touch with Officer Campbell in October. She used the computers being hacked as an excuse for not returning my calls. That was when I reminded her that she had written it all down. She told me she would call me back within the hour after she reviewed those documents, but I never heard from her. I called again two weeks later, and spoke to Officer Finkwell. He told me Officer Campbell would be out that week. When I vented to him about the departments lack of communication, he took it personally, and told me he didn't appreciate me taking out my frustrations on him. We had words. He accused me of saying things to him that I never said. I reminded him that I was the victim here, not him. I saw where this was going so I asked to speak to Sergeant Casey. The Sergeant never got on the phone, nor did he return my call. After speaking to IA, Officer Campbell finally reached out. She must have been offended that I called IA because her demeanor completely changed. She accused me of being the aggressor, and continued informing me that it was legal for the hospital employees to put their hands on me because according to her, I refused to leave. How can I leave when I had four people, two being men, on top of me? Also, I would never leave without my fur baby, which was in the arms of my attacker at that moment. This precinct is the perfect example of why there are so many issues with law enforcement today,

Police in Long Island are mainly concerned about helping the providing services for permanent residents. People who are from the city and are having a difficult time adjusting to life in a surburan community aren't very welcomed and the police out here aren't as accommodating to victims of crime. Their not given sensitivity training and think everyone a situation arises it calls for them to call for an ambulance to escort to hospital. I feel like instead of ridiculing the victim they should have some empathy and understanding and you don't get it out here. I think the police in Long Island make a good first impression but as time goes on they show their true colors im a mandated reporter and retired psychologist and the police officers don't believe one word I say but believe the guilty Long Islanders. I'm in the process of going back to where I will feel comfortable but I'm leaving with the impression that the people of Long Island are evil and satanic and are only out to fill their pockets with whatever they can steal from you. They are the most inconsiderate people and they lie to make themselves look good. Everyone in Long Island judges the book by the cover and never reads the pages. Nobody here gets to know the real you and they all judge you by what a third person says rather than getting to know you as I'm getting to exit Inwood I'm the people here have left a bad taste in my mouth. There are a few exceptions but not enough for me to say Long Island especially Inwood is the coldest place I ever been to. The agencies in Long Island don't help outsiders. Everyone says there out to help and dump everything on you. They get the paycheck and I do the work. I'm relieved that this nightmare will soon be a thing of the past. Everyone in the complex I live in enjoys smoking their eeed and drinking there beer enjoy ripping you off and the police don't do anything about it. The moral of Long Island is don't call 911 under any circumstances the police here like to abuse their authority especially with people who are just passing thru. The police should be taught how to deal with victims of abuse but it seems like sensitivity training isn't part of their profession.

The only thing I wanted to tell the officer was the daughter was on the phone and the paramedic screamed at me "keep quiet I cannot hear her" !!! I was not saying anything that was not useful, it was so the daughter can give more information regarding her mother and I did not need to be screamed at. I would not let that paramedic come near me if I was dying in the street !!! He was a nasty son of a bitch !!!
