Came in today looking to buy a Corvette they had on their website listed for $55k, I walked in the door and the 2 sales people didn't even bother greeting me. I pulled up a seat and waited 20 minutes while they completely ignored my existence. I understand they were talking to a customer but in this business, a simple "I'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. When I finally have enough sitting around, I got up to leave & one salesman gave me a petty little "were you looking for something?" Was I looking for something? Yes, maybe a car that you have listed on your website since this is a car lot? All of this for him to say "it's sold", ok how about take it off your website then? Extremely unprofessional & rude salesman, I bought multiple cars from the previous owners of this dealership but I will never return to this dealership and I will tell everybody I know to avoid doing business with them. read more

I went to purchase a car from 112 Auto Plaza and had high expectations based on their Google and Yelp reviews. Despite the car history and assurances, I was sold a lemon. This establishment is the epitome of the stereotypical crooked car salesmen. They passed the inspection immediately of the 2012 Volvo XC90 with a taillight out and 2 bald tires. I had to chase down initial work agreed upon in the sale. On my way to the dealership 10 days after purchase, an 02 sensor malfunctioned. 2 days after that, transmission problems. Although it is entirely covered under NYS Lemon Law, management at 112 Auto Plaza lied and attempted to avoid paying the transmission shop they outsourced the work to. Afterwards, they refused to take any calls from myself or the shop for days. Two months later, the car is still broken and they have forced me to take legal action. Between tows, rental cars fees and diagnostic fees, I am exhausted. I know this to be true, these people are corrupt and do not care for others. Please do not support their business. Don't buy your vehicle here, especially Law Enforcement . A Hispanic man who works at this location, but I will not name assisted us in looking for a preowned vehicle. He was arrogant and annoying. Everything started off well, we looked at a few cars and one specifically caught my eye. It was within my budget and I was ready to purchase same day. When inquiring about pricing, discounts, rates; we specifically asked if they had any first responder discounts. Specifically law-enforcement, since a majority of dealerships offer them. This man proceeds to say even if they did, a city cop (NYPD), would not be able to afford said vehicle and that they would probably not have vehicles in their inventory based on my wage as a city cop. I was absolutely shocked he said this. After a minute, I clarified to this man that it was for Suffolk PD and his tune changed. Who even says stuff like this.. Like most people giving negative reviews i came in to see a car that was listed at $10,950 only to come in and be told they were actually selling it for $14,500. I checked out and drove the car and all seemed well. They fixed a couple of issues i had on initial drive and i thought we were good to go. Carlos in sales worked with me to lower the price a few thousand since the car was not worth what they were asking (only reason they are getting 2 stars). Definitely check the carfax because the vehicle had some frame damage and when brought up i was told from 1 person that it wasn't true and the other that the auctioneers lie about that all the time and yes, the frame damage is noticeable with a slightly better than quick look at the car. Problems i found from weeks 1-4 -**THEY GAVE ME A VEHICLE WITH 2 QUARTS OF OIL AND NO ANTIFREEZE IN IT** my biggest complaint since i was told all the fluids were changed and taken care of. -Driver door lock actuator was broken -AC is broken (couldn't tell initially because it was cold outside) -Something is rattling under my passenger side (have to lift to find out what) Definitely do not recommend unless you are desperate like i was. I created this yelp account strictly to make this review that's how upsetting this was. I went to this dealership with a very specific car in mind, I went to check out this car 3 separate times in the span of a week. Over these three time I can say that this is a less than average car dealer with some terrible salesmen. The first day we met with a man named Walter took a brief look over the car and all was good, we noticed a missing engine cover and a broken air intake hose but not bad so far. The second day, I came prepared to see the car again; I had research on common failures and a checklist of what to look for and my partner (a former mechanic) came with some tools to search over the car. Immediately upon meeting the salesman John, he was abrasive and snoopy. We told him we were going to take a test drive and wanted a mechanic to look at it. He immediately said that we could only have the car for 15 minutes because they only had one dealer plate (We made an appointment and were 30 mins early). We asked to drive it we were out for 13 minutes exactly when we got a call that there was a queue of 3 people who needed the plate and we had to get back. There was no queue, it was 5:40pm on a Wednesday and the other people in the office were negotiating price. Eventually, We checked out all we wanted to and my partner gave the sign off that the car was in good shape for the year and worth around the price. The entire time we were there he was watching us, talking to us and telling us we MUST offer above asking and they have the cheapest dealer fee. It was 7pm and they were closing so we left and wanted to come back tomorrow. Upon entering the place on the 3rd day, He sat us down and asked what we were offering. We said that our review of the car was that there was at least $1100 in fixes so we will offer $600 under listed price. Immediately he laughs, curses and tell us we didn't read the ad. I state that we did and we understand but this car needs repairs and I'm not paying for repairs and the price they are asking. (Also, when we were talking about repairs he starts to blame the crack in the air hosing on us saying he heard noises when my partner was looking at the spark plugs). He tells us we are ridiculous and he won't consider it and starts whining to himself and just walks right out the front. Incredibly juvenile and inappropriate. We sit there not knowing if he'd come back when the salesman Walter chimes up asking about our offer and intrest. We start to talk with him when John wanders back in and starts borderline yelling that he wouldn't consider this and implying we are stupid for even asking because the ad states it and that what they paid for it and they wont just break even on it. My partner tells them that according to VIN record the dealer that purchased the car before them bought it from Copart for $5700. He laughs us, tell us that that would be insane and if that were true everyone would be buying from copart. He also tells my partner that he can't believe the internet because copart doesn't sell anything but salvage titles (not true, and walter points that out a minute later). He tells us he would never go to his boss with $500 below asking. After this interaction we were both pretty burnt out. We change our bid to ask price but they have to repair the problems, he again laughs at us, basically berates us and walks away for like the 5th time. He would just walk right out of the room. Walter tells him to call the boss and the boss says he will be there in a minute. John leaves again to who fucking knows where and were again just sitting in an empty office. The boss shows up and tries to up sell us. At this point I am over it and I say I will take it for list price plus dealers fee cash and I want to just walk away with it now. The boss man is much more pleasant and saves the sale. We buy it and deal with him and the lovely office woman and settle with the car. Its been 3 days and we have seen a few dozen more flaws in the car, luckily none of them are devastating but for people so cocky you'd think they'd sell better cars. As we are signing documents, John starts basically shitting on his boss saying that this is unheard of and the other boss would never dare deal with us and our deal. Telling us we are lucky we didn't meet the more aggressive one. (He also made a dicey comment about the boss being greek??) I hope they fire John and I wouldn't be sad about. Being yelled at, demeaned, and left alone by a salesman for trying to negotiate car (THE LITERAL THING YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO WHEN YOU BUY A CAR) is an insane principle. The reason I gave this 2 stars is because of Walter and the boss for at least being kind while trying to make the sale. I hope that Walter and the lovely office lady get all the good karma they deserve. TL:DR- I wouldn't go there but if you do work with Walter, stand your ground, get the car checked and please walk away if they treat you this way. read more
