From the many radio stations that I have seen there are many with the great energy and the great reach they can have when they go to a large Holiday Event and the great customers, they can reach the many age groups with the great music and some of the best concert hosting welcoming viewers with great ticket give aways. When I had met one of the radio personalities at the December Nights, it gave me a chance to see the new radio stations and get a sense of the music and the age groups they service and the music they offer. The many Radio Stations that I had come across serviced the many major events and with the one which had the greatest effect was the SKY SHOW that was put on by the greatest was 100.5 KGB the presentation that I had seen at the at the December Nights was the best with the Holidays with 100.7 Big FM is going to be one of the stations with the age groups requests music for the many major events. I have found that 100.7 BIG FM is one of the many stations with the mix of music is well programed and organized. The many stations which are here in San Diego and the many areas of the north county is to have a great station to reach out to the many colleges and student listeners. !00.7 BIG FM from meeting the radio person and talking over the many areas the station covers I can see the station has some of the best age groups with concerts coming 100.7 Big FM is going to be one of the best to offer the best music mixed with promos. Being a Yelp Elite Reviewer, it gives me a chance to meet with the many people and to get a feel of the company and the music they offer to find a great Radio Station and the Radio Personalities is to have the best morning and the call-in shows. I would like to see more of what 100.7 BIG FM has to offer the many listeners. The DSC is not for ME. Or maybe it is? I don't know how many JackFM listeners were clamoring for the DSC but I wasn't one of them. I've listened to the DSC show for um, could it be almost 20 years? I've had a few laughs along the way, but the repetitive bits started collecting dust. It was time to move on. **** So I've given the show a week and it's pretty good. Don't miss Shelly AT ALL, and Emily/ Elaina are filling in nicely. The show still has the best music bumpers in San Diego. I listen to better radio of course, but I must give them one star because they left the points thing that Star 100.7 had when they were still there. they are now currently Jack FM 100.7. I don't like your music, way too random and so all over the place. I Know your slogan is, "We play what we want" or whatever, but still, It's too scattered around for me. Their new incarnation as Big FM is a big improvement. Great music, very wide selection. Unlike other rock stations, they don't just stick to either 80s music or modern stuff. They play everything from the Beatles, to the 70s, all the way up to fairly recent hits. Love it! read more

Switched the dial. Can't take it anymore. This station suffers the ailment that most San Diego stations seem to have - plays the same group of songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Is this the Nickelback appreciation station or some shit? I haven't heard Photograph played this much since it first came out - and even then it wasn't that good...I mean it's Nickelback. Queen has more songs than Somebody to Love. Just a heads up. I openly challenge any and all radio stations that have any hints of classic rock to play a song by Cheap Trick that doesn't include the title words "I Want You To Want Me." What a horrible song. All the stations that I've bailed on have had love affairs with this song. What a coincidence. And by the way - Surrender and Dream Police don't count for the challenge. Jack has been a solid station in other places around the state so I'm shocked that this station seems to like taking shits on its listeners. They don't "play what they want" but rather have a set playlist of songs that were big hits years ago and play them over and over. I believe this station deserves an updated review, so here it is: Whether I'm chauffering my husband to work in the early morning or running errands in the afternoon, 100.7 FM is my go-to station. The morning DSC show is absolutely hilarious. My kind of dark, dirty humor and can bring a smile to my face when they make fun of recent news stories. I have enjoyed Johnjay and Rich's four o'clock hour fiance friday and second date update and such for a while now but spring break bust is just down right cruel. Exposing certain peoples thoughts and actions to other people has actually been pretty productive but spring break bust exposes these usually innocent coming to age kids to the shame of their parents, hurting the parents as much as these young partying adults who are just sowing their oats and learning some of lifes lessons along the way and having the time of their lifes. A couple of weeks ago when that girls father cut her off out of his life and that poor girl sounded like she was in such shock that she couldn't breath, that was very sad and my heart sunk for her. I don't exactly see how you're confortable destroying the relationships between these kids and their parents other than maybe you're jealous that those days are long gone for you, but I think its time to shut this segment of your show down and move on to something less cruel as you guys can be quite creative with your show. If I could give more stars I would! I wake up to the DSC every weekday and laugh so hard it's tough to keep my eyeliner on! I only wish they still played the best of the DSC on Saturday mornings too but I'll take what I can get! Also they've changed their format! They aren't JackFM anymore they're 100.7 KFM-BFM and they play continuos AWESOME rock from almost every genre imaginable! You'll hear a mix like INXS then maybe the Beastie Boys, some Bowie, the Stones, Devo then some awesome big hair metal! Like my boyfriend says it's ALL the music ALL your different friends listened to back in the day! I never have to dial into any other station now! Keep up the great work you guys! Over the last year (2020), 100.7 would play testimonials where the listener indicated they changed from a rival rock station to 100.7 because they played music, not a bunch of DJ's overpowering the music with chatter. I also changed to 100.7 because I enjoyed listening to the music, not a morning show filled with talk. Now, there is a morning DJ (beginning 2021) and although they still play music, she CONSTANTLY talks over the intro of every song right up to the lyrics and sometimes misses the mark and talks into the lyrics. To me it is extremely annoying. Too bad 100.7 management does not subscribe to the adage "if it isn't broke, don't fix it". They've lost a morning listener in me and I've gone back to iHeart Radio where I can listen to the intro of a song, not distracting chatter. read more

Love the dsc morning show it's the best in San Diego hands down. The best part is there is no music durning the show just 100% entertainment which I love. You can always tell the bad morning shows it's the same format play two or three songs come on read a headline then go to commercial. I don't know why they even call it a show a do could do that but the dsc show has games , comedy, sports, news, cooking segments, and a real take on things that are just interesting. As far as the music on the rest of the day it's alright not my favorite and to be honest a little bit tired. Wish they mixed it up more can count on hearing rush 10 times a day and that's 9 times to many. Have listened to these guys from the very beginning. Glad they are there with the vast wasteland of morning shows in SD! (Fake "war of the roses", etc.) However, as of late I'm less impressed. Dave's constant abuse - seriously it IS abuse of Boyer is childish and so incredibly arrogant!!! Boyer is absolutely right often times, yet Dave just beats him into submission. Sick really. Your music selection is pretty good but it is the same 200 or so songs over and over. Your Christmas "Random Shuffle" without deejays offered up Elvis Presley, Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop," Duncan Sheik's "Barely Breathing," "Cross My Heart" (R&B) and some Led Zeppelin song your humans never play. "True Variety That Rocks" isn't variety when I can set my watch by the songs you play. Maybe you should let the computers do the programming. They say they play what they want. That's all good but, I wish they would change it up a bit. It seems they only want to play the same 20 or so songs (yes, probably more than 20 but sometimes it seems like 2 songs) over and over and over. I can almost predict what song is going to come on. The only reason I leave them on now is because they have no DJ's which is great however, I am really getting sick of the same songs over and over. I think some of the songs have been played more on Jack then they ever played when they were new. I don't listen to DSC so I have no opinion of them except, they were annoying when they were on clear channel, they are probably annoying now. read more

Seriously. Last year I had to drive from Santee to Bay Park, about 25 minutes. I got a 24 minute commercial break with a 1 minute "hey, this next segment will be good here's what we're gonna do". When I get into the car in the morning I usually turn to them, but as soon as they go to commercial I'm off to a CD. Odds are, by the time I get to my destination they'll still be in a commercial break. Ack phfft. What's funny is about 6 months ago Dave did a rant on people who said they didn't like commercials and how they listened anyway. And the whole point he missed is, people like me don't respond to surveys (or don't qualify), and don't show up in your numbers. Radio listening is down across the board. The only radio I listen to nowdays is the DSC, but as soon as you go to commercial I go to CD. That said, Boyer is a stand up dude. Saw him at Lowe's in Santee a few years back, thought I recognized him, then he said something and I knew it was him. Granted we were both standing in a checkout line, but when I told him how awesome I thought he was he grinned and bore it. read more
