First of all, this location is not closed, they just moved locations! They are now at #14 Court Square in West Plains. 10/40 is my go to coffee stop when I'm traveling to and/or through this area. They have great coffee (and I'm a sucker for a lavender latte, so they get bonus points in my book for having that on the menu)! They also have pretty yummy breakfast menu options and a decent selection of pastries. This morning, I saw a "coffee cookie" in the display and asked if it was just a regular cookie or if it had coffee in it. The baristas weren't sure, so they got one out to try and let me taste test it before I bought one. It didn't taste like coffee, but it was the perfect softness for a chocolate chip cookie! While the coffee is enough to bring me back time after time, they also have a good amount of seating and the perfect ambiance to read, work, study, or sit down with friends. They also have a solid mission and friendly service. I can't recommend them enough.

I don't why I haven't review this place yet. My daughter loves this place and has made it a regular stop on her way to school. Olivia is fantastic. We love the atmosphere and the service. If you are needing a Java Pick-me-up then this should be at the top of your go to places!!!

10/40 is in a corner of the downtown square but easy to overlook because there's no front signage. However, the bail bonds office next door has a large sign to serve as a landmark. Inside, 10/40 is spacious, which is accented by the spartan decor. A few wall burlap coffee bags and amateur paintings provide most of the ornamentation other than the building itself. The brick walls, hardwood floor, and stamped tin ceiling offer a refreshing contrast to the generic feel and simulated barn wood in chain coffee shops. Serving mostly coffee and tea 10/40 also offers a few pastries and crepes; a sign stated soups would return in the fall. I enjoyed a delightful light mocha and scone. The scone was English-like (not overly sweet) and loaded with large, juicy blueberries. And, the mocha was perfect with just the right touch of milk.

I go here for a French Vanilla Latte every single morning that I work. The loyalty stamp is a great way to not only be environmentally friendly by reusing your same sleeve over and over again but also to show appreciation to the regular customers. My favorite treat is the Lemon and Blueberry Scone! Great flavor and is very pretty :) I definitely recommend 10/40 coffee for the best cup of Joe in town!

UPDATED: we visited again and the sign was changed and easy to see. They have added Lavender Lattes to the menu and it was delicious. The girl behind the counter was so sweet. We will definitely be stopping again when we travel through! read more

This is the best place ever. Our group eats lunch here at least 3x week. the lunch is simple but absolutely delicious food. their soups are amazing and the portions HUGE!!! Great value and wonderful people. Everyone should try this place. read more

I don't live in West Plains but whenever I visit I make sure to come here everyday. Great coffee and pastries, and their bagel with lox is the best I've ever had! I would recommend to anyone near and far to visit for a great environment and even better coffee! read more
