Most recently they have been bought out and are under new management. Tee times are every seven minutes which cause the game and holes to be completely backed up. Do not expect to get 18 holes in if you're playing anytime past two. On top of them packing in teetimes they have no Rangers and no management therefore almost every time I go and play there are more than five people playing at a hole. (Rules are no more than 4). It is literally a free-for-all. Another time I went two people went in front of me when their tee time was later and left the pair that they were paired up with. Again, all of this contributes to the backing up of the course. All I can say is with the new management it is absolutely terrible and they do not care. Very disappointing this place is not what it used to be. FYI the same management company owns Bloomingfield , Cypress Creek, and Huntington Hills, expect the same mess and lack of management at all these courses. On a positive note, the greens look really good and the course is well kept however what's the point when you can't even play a full 18 holes due to the backing up of the course.

By the time I got to the 10th tee there are 5 groups ahead of me now because they allow 9 hole back nine play in the morning. The inside staff did not care that my round was affected by their poor management / clear money first thought process. When i brought it to their attention the answer was I played too fast and was too far ahead of the pace of play. Ya know the exact reason I paid good money for the first tee time. So there isn't a pace of play issue. If you're looking for a 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 hour round this is your place. It's a-shame because the course is in great shape.

This arrangement of golf variety gives players twenty seven different holes to play on four sets of tees from front Gold (4400 yards) to back Blue (6000 yards) with a par of 71. Nobody's golf game shall be frowned upon as the front boxes promote swift play to the inexperienced and some challenges to the better players. I quickly took off from the White tees as the Ranger saw me coming and out me in front of two apparently slower groups. I told him that "I play fast" he assured me to "take my time, there's not many players out" this was New Years Day. Pounding my new PING up the left side, I quickly noticed that I had to push it back to the Blues and this links style course was wide open and there for the taking. Fairly large and well bunkered greens - (no potbelly's but a few whales, not very deep) received my approaches and held each line I put my strokes in - each putt I looked at had minimal break - burning edges I really didn't make much and left more than a few birdies as I went out in 42. Coming back, I began to take in the beautiful surroundings of pines and oaks lining the fairways, but also aware of the impending doom of all the dangerous water on almost every hole. The course did play short for me as it was Driver wedge on a few, 3Wood 9iron or 8iron most of the round - but as I'm getting a bit older, this suits me just fine - I don't look forward to continuous 440-450-460 yard par 4's like I used to - but I still enjoy a few. ere's a fun reflection upon my 25+ golfing years.

Not an optimal arrangement and a bit confusing. It's Palms to Oaks, Oaks to Lakes or Lakes to Palms, if that clarifies it. Lots of water and sand hazards. Greens well kept; the entire course is, really. Was a bit crowded when we feed off at 11am but no one caught up to us. A weird thing about this course is how tight the turns are. Lots of switchbacks so you always have another group to your right or left...and sometimes both. I hit a guy's cart and we had more than a couple stray balls land near us from unknown players on other holes. We found that this did make the playing go faster, for what that's worth. And on top of that, there are driving ranges right in the middle of the 3 courses. You'll see lots of range balls on the fairways... For those who are new to this course, finding the holes can be very confusing. The course definitely needs more markers directing players to the holes. The carts have a warning sign in them to call the Pro Shop I if you encounter problems with the cart. And sure enough, we came up on a stranded player whose cart had died. He was pretty frustrated. Nice folks at the Pro Shop and check in, though I just don't think this course is for me for the above reasons.

On course A, hole #8, par 5 from the gold tees. I hit my driver flush, tracking straight along the left side of the fairway OVER the large leafless tree for about 150 yards. If you have ever thought about trying the game of golf...then this is the place you need to come to for outstanding golf instruction. These golf classes caters to ladies only. And the classes are limited to 6 students. This way, you get personal attention & instruction. The 10 hour class I attended , met Monday - Friday for 2 hours a day. Also, the instructor offers private lessons for both men and women. Sandra Chester is the LPGA teaching professional that will guide you through the basics along with her great assistant Kim. They have excellent booklets, with great illustrations for both right and left handed golfers. The booklets cover everything from general golf course information to equipment that you will need. From day 1 we not only had indoor class time, we also headed outside for hands on putting. I would truly recommend these classes to all ladies from the beginners to those who just want to learn the correct way to stand, hold your club, or just improve your game. Thanks to Sandra and Kim, I now feel that I can play a game and not make a total fool of myself. These ladies know the game of golf but more importantly, they know how to teach the rest of us the game!!! I plan on taking a few private lessons just to refine my swing.

She had a club-by-club method that really gets you to understand the mechanics of golf and your body. You also get handy books that she wrote to refer back to once you leave her lessons. I went back after two years and took a couple of private lessons to advance my game. Made a huge difference in my playing.
