I came here for dinner on their opening day with a friend. The server was very nice, polite, and punctual. She was very attentive of our table, though she seemed a bit rushed. I had the feeling she wanted to get our orders ASAP, but it's no big deal because she didn't come off as annoying or anything. The interior is very clean (probably because they just opened), and their decor was well coordinated. Their decor fit the atmosphere quite well, and helped enhance the image I think they're going for. Below is the list of things we ordered. Thai Iced Tea(9/10): Came as two distinct layers in a cup. It was about half tea half cream. The tea portion itself was pretty good. I would pay for just the tea if possible. After mixing the cream and tea, the drink went from a delicious tea to a dessert like tea. Thai Iced Coffee(8/10): Essentially the same as the Thai Iced Tea, but with coffee. Mixing the coffee and cream may be dangerous because after mixing it I forgot I was drinking coffee :) I prefer the Thai Iced Tea though, so that's a definite order for next time! Chicken Curry Puff(10/10): It was amazing! It was like a flaky, dumpling-shaped pastry. It came served with a Thai style cucumber relish sauce. The sauce was sweet, and had a vinegar taste to it as well. It went well with the dish but it would probably would go well with anything. The Curry Puffs were nicely filled, there were no pockets of air or anything. There was a bit of sweetness in them too which was a pleasant surprise. Papaya salad(9/10): It was a bit trippy because I thought I was eating radish, turns out it was papaya the whole time. The spice was at a great level at first. It wasn't so spicy that you can't enjoy it, but it wasn't so mild that you miss the spice. Don't make the mistake I did. At the end, I wanted to eat more of it so I cleaned up the scraps. Doing so concentrated all the residual, leftover spice into my mouth and put me out of commission for like 10 minutes haha. The dressing complimented the dish perfectly. It perfectly combined spice, salt, and sour all into one dressing, you can taste all three flavors with every bite! The peanuts, tomatoes, and string beans made the dish more vibrant and lively. This was a well made appetizer. Masaman Curry(7/10): For a Chef recommendation, this dish was a bit lackluster. I would honestly describe it as a basic coconut curry. While it tasted great, I'm not sure if I can say it's worth a spot in the Chef Recommendation menu. It tasted like coconut milk with a hint of curry taste. It honestly tasted like coconut milk, it was the most prominent and overpowering flavor in the dish. The beef could have been more tender, it was kinda hard and blocky. I think the beef would be much better if it was stewed longer to make it more tender. Potatoes and onions were fine. Not too tender, not too hard. The potatoes don't dissolve immediately in your mouth, but as you chew into it... it gets there. Sign of a good, stewed potato. Duck Basil(10/10): This dish is delicious! The duck pieces were battered lightly and fried well. The outside is crispy and thin, and the inside was juicy and succulent (most importantly, not dry!). I didn't have a single piece where I thought "man I'm just eating batter". If I could make a change to this dish, I would suggest that the spice and sauce is distributed more thoroughly. There were some parts of this dish that seemed to have less flavor than other parts of this dish. It should probably be more consistent, but it's no big deal since the change was barely noticeable And lastly, it was supposed to be 3* spicy according to their menu but it was a little less spicy than their 2* spice Papaya Salad. Still delicious though! On the way out, I also ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Drunken Noodles. Chicken Pad Thai(8/10): Not bad. Tastes like your usual Pad Thai. Other places give you a lime wedge, but this place didn't so sour food lovers might be a bit disappointed. This is a personal preference of mine, but I love my Pad Thai to have some sour and spice in it as well. This wasn't it, but it was still good nonetheless. Chicken Drunken Noodles(9/10): Pretty dang good! I can't complain about it. Only thing worth noting is that their menu said this is 3* spicy, but the one I got I would say is like 1* spicy compared to their other spice dishes I tried.
