A couple of my places I wanted to eat at in Cleveland were closed on Memorial Day, so I had to pivot. I saw that there were Steak and Shakes in the area, and I had not been to one in probably 15 years or so (Midwest trip, previously in Missouri). I decided to stop here for lunch. You order at the kiosk. I went with a double cheeseburger, large fries and a strawberry shake. They make it fresh, and bring it to your table when its ready. How was it? Absolutely delicious! The burger was piping hot, with 2 well seasoned smashed patties, melted cheese, onions, ketchup, mustard and pickles. It was tasty! The fries here are cooked in beef tallow, and you can tell. Much cleaner tasting fry. The fries here are super duper skinny though. I prefer a thicker fry, but these still hit the spot. Really good fries! The strawberry shake was great, too! They serve it to you in an actual frosted glass, and they have the good, thick, milkshake straws here. Nothing worse than trying to suck a shake through a skinny straw. These straws were the good ones! Service was friendly for the 2 guys working in there. The one guy brought out my food and the manager, I think, wished me a good day as I was leaving. This was a way better meal than I had expected, and I would definitely come back to Steak and Shake again. read more
