I love local bakeries... and I'm sure I love them more than I should. Murray's is dangerously close to my flat and just a few doors down from my local Tesco. I walk past this place almost every day, and it would probably be better for me to walk on the other side of the street... I always have to take a look in the display window even if I'm in a rush. It's no secret that Murrays was voted best Scotch pie recently, but that's only one of the great things about this place. Visit here on any Saturday and the queue will be out the door. People come here for the cakes, the apple slices, the pies, the scones, you name it. If you're short on time to prepare something for guests, then why not stop in here for a pie or cake that would barely set you back one coin? Really, there's no point getting a store-bought baked good, when there's a great bakery right next door to Tesco. I have to say, as well, that if you happen to walk past and see something you like, then you should buy it then... they sell out quickly.
