Tucked away in an unassuming parking lot, Madres Brunch is a delightful surprise. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by fun wall art celebrating pop culture and animations. It offers a playful vibe that immediately sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The space is spotless, with plenty of open seating, making it ideal for a weekend brunch.
We were greeted promptly by Angel, our server, who was not only helpful but genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the menu. He even mentioned it was their second anniversary, which added a celebratory touch to the experience. Angel's passion for the restaurant's offerings made choosing our meal easy, and his energy was a highlight of the visit.
For drinks, we started with a classic latte and a green apple mimosa. The latte was bold and flavorful, the kind that makes you stop and appreciate the barista's craft. The green apple mimosa was on the sweeter side, so it might not be for everyone, but it's a fun twist for those with a sweet tooth.
Now for the food: we ordered the chilaquiles verdes with birria and the French toast. The chilaquiles were an absolute standout. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the birria was tender and juicy. It's easily one of the best I've had in a while. The French toast delivered just the right amount of sweetness to round out the meal.
