Java Moon Rises opened a few weeks ago, just down the road from the old Java Moon (which closed several years ago). It is just off Route 195 on the road to Six Flags Great Adventure. It is a BYOB. The venue is small, perhaps 40 seats. The building was some kind of fast food with a drive thru as well as eat-in. Of course, they dropped the drive thru. Service by Iris was attentive and friendly last evening. We started sharing a large Springmoon salad. Yummy. For entrees, we enjoyed Moon Salmon and Lobster Roll. Everything was delicious and good sized portions. Note: certain specials are only available Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Before leaving, we met the owner (son of owner of original Java Moon). We discussed both restaurants and wished him luck in his new eatery.
