A couple of things made the overall experience hit-or-miss for me.
First, the positives--the flavors and seasoning here are honestly really good. The sauces were bold, garlicky, and packed with Cajun flavor, and the oysters were a highlight for me. Super fresh tasting and easily my favorite part of the meal.
Where things fell short was the crawfish. We were told it was live crawfish, but it tasted more like it had been frozen for a while -- the texture was pretty rubbery, and it just didn't feel fresh. It was disappointing because the seasoning itself was great, but the quality of the seafood didn't match.
The biggest issue though, was finding a fly in our garlic noodles. After that, we were honestly done eating, which put a damper on the whole experience.
Overall, I can see the potential here because the flavors are strong and the menu has some winners, but consistency and freshness need improvement. I'd come back for oysters, but I'm hoping for a better experience next time. read more
