Got to visit Canvasback for the first time over Cayuse weekend. They had both a Cabernet from the Walla Walla AVA and a Cabernet from the Red Mountain AVA. It was SO cool to be able to compare and contrast them back-to-back. It was also really hard to decide which one I liked more! Winemaker, Brian Rudin, does such an amazing job and is so approachable during conversation, and so friendly. I learned a lot chatting with him just the one time. The environment is incredible and the views are gorgeous!! There's corn hole, croquette, a pond area, and great outdoor seating, including an awesome fire pit surrounded by super comfy couches. This is a great stop for sure! They do have a $15 tasting fee, but it is waived with a 2 bottle minimum purchase of any of their red wines, per person. read more
