I visited Aloha Java for the first time this morning and had a pleasant experience. I've been working at CSUF for a couple years now and I still never got a chance to stop by until today! There was two people in line. One girl had a longer transaction but it was maybe because she had to get gift cards. My coworker and I ordered and I decided to get a hot small matcha green tea which came out to be $4.00. I thought the small is a little too small (LOL) but this drink and others were pretty reasonably priced. Our drinks were prepared rather quickly and you pick up in the back. My matcha green tea was just alright haha. It was rather sweet. I had ordered with light whipped cream but my drink didn't taste like quality fresh, matcha but more like a generic powder. It also tasted very vanilla, which I've grown to not enjoy as much. Overall the drink was okay, I think I'll definitely try to stick with the coffees next since they seem to have a great selection! Note: There is a 4% Customer Service Charge applied to all Credit Card transactions so my drink was $4 flat when I paid in cash. Overall, my experience for the drink was more of a 3-3.5ish star, rounded up to 4 for the nice staffers/customer service. I'd come back but maybe not get the matcha and get a coffee instead. read more
