I ordered a garlic beef hot stone rice and a side of grilled sushi all of which I enjoyed. The service is really quick but adequate and the space is tight. During lunch hour it is typical to have a long wait so we were seated relatively quickly. There is also a 12 dollar unlimited drinks you can self serve and I probably had the most fun trying out every single drink.

And this time my friend from high school met up in this brand new mall - V City, looking for a place to have a good old catch up slash farewell all in one. I have to say there were quite a lot of people everywhere, let alone the long queues outside most restaurants, except this. Soon after we realized this place was rather high end and the price was sort of pricey. Since my friend (who was going to buy me dinner) approved this, lucky me haha... We were seated right away and I have to say the interior design is very impressive. You can also see the sushi chefs slicing off sashimi in front of your eyes. They also have seasonal deals sometimes which I like so much. We ordered quite a lot of food - beef tongue, beef skewer, sushi platter and sashimi platter. Food were served soon after and I have to say the rice underneath the sushi was not big at all, which was very authentic and that made the sushis on top looked comparably big. I like that as I would not be stuffed by all the rice... I have to say that the food portion is rather small in general but in terms of the taste, I would give it a four stars mainly because the ingredients are fresh and nicely seasoned. I will definitely come back if I can get someone pay for me again.

I tried to be all positive and all but there were just some food on the menu that encouraged me to be more adventurous and it proved that I had make such terrible mistake. Let's not talk about the new items first. How about we start with the rice. It fell apart the minute it got served in front of our eyes. Not just once but basically most of the time. Come on. If I wanted the rice to serve separately why would I have sushi? Like seriously? The rice was everywhere and I ticked off already. Time for something more adventurous: later on we tried a 3-dollar fish (I did not take a picture of it as it did not look or taste good at all) It was slimy and salty. And then the 5-dollar firefly squid sushi with egg wrap instead of seaweed. Who came up with this idea to be honest? The squid was SO FISHY and you simply could not put that in your mouth without vomiting instantly. Then the Oyster sushi. It tasted fine but you could tell it was not fresh and it looked like it had a botched surgery. This was definitely a no go for me. However if you just want salmon or scallop, they are all right. If you want to try something even stranger than the red bean sushi from another chain, you know where to go now.

So yesterday as I was coming back from Central, I was famished and called up my friend who was just as hungry. Struggling to find a place as it was almost four thirty when we met up, we were at first looking for places that offered afternoon tea set, but we failed and opted for Sushi One instead. Sushi One does not cater afternoon tea set but I would say their lunch set is fairly cheap. The Sashimi Rice Bowl I ordered was only HKD$52 and that came with a drink. I have to say though the bowl was not exceptionally good, it was all right. My friend ordered Udo with tempura which turned out to be better. To be honest, I would say that they definitely do a better job at its midnight sushi. When we got in, it was really quiet and apparently the staff were pretty relaxed - maybe too relaxed. We even overheard someone saying "oh it is my last day today", anyways, I would say that maybe there were not that many diners inside and they simply did not care as much. Thus that part was a bit disappointing. Next time I will still opt for the midnight sushi here but as for any other time, not really I guess. It was just so-so.
