I have to say that normally when I go to Sushi One for the midnight sushi. Ever since my graduation, I barely go out for that anymore - oh, those days were gone. So yesterday as I was coming back from Central, I was famished and called up my friend who was just as hungry. Struggling to find a place as it was almost four thirty when we met up, we were at first looking for places that offered afternoon tea set, but we failed and opted for Sushi One instead.
Sushi One does not cater afternoon tea set but I would say their lunch set is fairly cheap. The Sashimi Rice Bowl I ordered was only HKD$52 and that came with a drink. I have to say though the bowl was not exceptionally good, it was all right. My friend ordered Udo with tempura which turned out to be better.
To be honest, I would say that they definitely do a better job at its midnight sushi. When we got in, it was really quiet and apparently the staff were pretty relaxed - maybe too relaxed. We even overheard someone saying "oh it is my last day today", anyways, I would say that maybe there were not that many diners inside and they simply did not care as much. Thus that part was a bit disappointing. Next time I will still opt for the midnight sushi here but as for any other time, not really I guess. It was just so-so. read more
