This is a location jammed packed with restaurants and it has revitalized this location which for a long time found itself struggling to compete with Wanchai and other locations. QRE plaza itself actually has a very small footprint in terms of floorplan- the ground floor section is dominated by the Mini showroom and the rest is just lifts going upstairs. this building is almost constituted exclusively of top end restaurants and bars- BB's Lobster and Seafood, Papi, W28, Akita and the Habitat are all tenants at the building just to name a few. One of the notable bars in this building is the Habitat Lounge which stands at the top of the building and the bar itself has gained notoriety as the bar as good views and an extensive range of drinks to choose from. That's for another time and another review. If you really can't think of where to eat and you have an open budget (as most of the choices here are decidedly upmarket); then coming to the QRE will not be a disappointment. Thing to note is that during lunch hour this place does get quite busy so you will be well advised to book ahead if possible.

It is also directly connected to Sheung Wan MTR Station Exit D, so the entire center is completely sheltered from the weather. The mall has aged well and feels much brighter and cleaner than it used to. The biggest highlight now is definitely the food selection. The lower floors are packed with quick grab-and-go spots like cafes and bakeries, while the upper floors feature excellent sit-down restaurants like Maxim's Palace for dim sum. It is the perfect place to comfortably sit down, eat, and catch up with family or old friends before your departure. The Macau Ferry Terminal (The ticketing counters and departure gates) on the 3rd floor are highly organized and very easy to navigate.

Theaters with good access, large enough stage, and most importantly affordable rents were in short supply. Youth Square, better known as Y square is a building complex situated in Chai Wan that servers as a recreational ground, function and conference rooms, hostel and a theater all in one building. The effort itself is quite commendable I have to say especially when the building is purposely dedicated to youth usage; yet due to the location, which is considered quite far from the center, the occupancy of the hostel remained low since it first opened in 2009 and have recorded negative balance for subsequent years. From my point of view, the hardware of this complex is rather well furnished and should be utilized more often. Especially for the theater at the basement, which can hold up to 600 audiences actually is quite a good place for plays, dramas and dance. Recently more and more studios have booked the theater (Y- theater) for showcases, some even organized competitions there too, despite the fact that the backstage is not convenient enough, the stage itself is rather deep and wide enough for larger productions to take place.The side wings are also quite spacious which allows larger sets to be stored. Provided the quality of the theater, as well as the hardware of the whole of Y-square, i think the only reason for low occupancy would be location and accessibility. Perhaps more promotion has to be made in order to make this place known; it is rather sad to see such a well designed complex with good intentions left idle like this.

The building name sounds industrial and factory-like but really, the entire building is the central hub for wholesale businesses! We are looking at the latest and unique fashions, accessories, toys, and much more. My relative told me that a lot of fashion boutique owners will come here to bulk purchase and sell the items at their own store because of the amazingly low wholesale prices. Back then, an average person like us would not be able to just come here and buy one item, you will need to buy at least 3 of the same shirt (can be in different colours). But now the economy has changed, the wholesalers have become more lenient and can sell you item by item and with discounts. The prices are absolutely affordable and you should definitely pay a visit. Ex. I got a sweater for $100... normally it would cost around $200-$250 out in the city. I got 2 trendy lace jackets also for $100 each. The only thing is that you can't really try on anything because there is no fitting room. If you are coming here for the first time, I suggest to explore the first two floors first. It is more popular on the first floor, but I did found some pretty good stuff on the second floor. It is just like treasure hunting ;) Travel notes: To get to this building by subway, get off MTR Lai Chi Lok Station (Exit B1) and it is less than 5 minutes away.

They have an open area where you can share tables with other people. If you need to be alone or are a group, they also have conference rooms. There is also an outdoor terrace with tables and lounge chairs. Perfect place to take a break before you go back to work. The number one reason why I love Garage Society is because of its location. When I was in HK, I stayed at Ovolo Noho hotel. Guess what? It's right across the street! For lunch break, you have sooo many tasty restaurants to choose from. I recommend La Rotisserie for the French roast chicken lunch set. :) Need a caffeine fix? They offer complimentary drinks in the fridge plus tea and coffee. Also, after a long day at "the office", everyone deserves a glass of beer. Yes, Garage Society includes free beer on tap. Amazing! :D The Garage Society gives off a friendly atmosphere and is a good place to meet people. Oh, before I forget, you can't eat your hot meals in the space. So, have your lunch break at a restaurant nearby. :)

Really neat co-working space on Queen's Road Central. They're located in the same building as…read morecompanies like Uber and Food Panda. Loved the branding with inspirational quotes like "It's not all about the money" on the walls. There are shared spaces which look like they're quiet zones, along with a conference room and a few private offices. Amenities include a fancy Smeg fridge, access to hot and cold water, sodas and teas. No food, though. The outdoor patio also looks like a great place to hang out if the weather's nice!
