Very disappointed at Eastasia moving company. The estimator came and estimated 6800hkd. After all stuff had been shifted to the trucks, I was asked to pay 3500hkd more. And was threatened 'No Pay, No move!'. read more

They have been in business for a long time. New boxes. Bubble wrap. I packed boxes myself. Hanging wardrobe boxes. A little rough and few things cracked or scratched during the move. Would use them again.

Originally i was quited 7-8k. I sent videos of my while place. You can't hide shit in a video. Then…read morecuz the crew was slow, smoking and taking long lunches, it was deemed my fault that they needed to come back for a 2nd day. First 15k was demanded, which is quite honestly ridiculous. Renegotiations happened and I got it down to 12k, which honestly, is not at all fair. I have paid 10k so far and "owe" 2k more. I dont really think i should need to pay it. Boxes weren't labeled Boxes were moved over before the big furniture which doesn't make sense. They broke some cups and vases. They broke a cupboard, which fair enough they nailed back together. They had to do it in 2 days They took a 2 hour lunch Then decided to say the pictures I sent of what I had in the house didn't show the scope of everything...I don't agree...I sent videos which showed it all very well. The guys acted like they didn't even know there was an upstairs, and complained immediately about having to do the job. They were very negative from the moment they came...very unprofessional. I knew they were going to try to charge more when the first message I received was that it was the 3rd floor, not the 2nd. It is a typical hk village house. 2nd floor. They also asked if they had to bring the clothes from my closet over miltuple times....that's weird! Also, they were very negative, saying the new place is too small...it's impossible to fit everything in..blah, blah, blah....I saw the furniture the previous tenant had and it was a lot more than mine! (I guess the workers just wanted to complain!) They broke some cups- (they were specialty Care Bear cups!!) They just carelessly (thus the broken cups!!) tossed items in boxes from different rooms. Everything is mixed up. Why didn't they go room by room and label room 1, room 2, room 3 etc. They have scratched all my walls! (This will come out of the damage deposit, which i will of course have to cover!) They were smoking in my house. There are cigarette butts all over! Smoking in someone else's house is absolutely insane. Literally just chucking things in boxes from any room. This is a nightmare! My plants are ruined. There's plant soil all over the house, and actually plant soil on my hat! A card game that I had already packed has been strewn all over the living room. Why did they unpack them? They are terrible packers. Clothes would fit in 3 boxes but it took them 12 ? There is no organization, the whole thing was just absolute chaos. Why not go room by room they just throw stuff in willy nilly with no regard for where it goes. They gave 0 cares for any of my stuff. Just chucking it about, leaving it in the rain. Moving slower than an 80 year old. It was absolutely ridiculous the amount of time they took. Another moving company moved me before and they managed to pack, move across town, and unpack everything in 5 hours !!! There was more stuff than I currently have because it was 2 of us. I was constantly shamed for having things and for them having to "pack so much." Hobestly, I was made to feel like crap for 2 days. I cried 3 times and finally after having a complete mental breakdown, they put my bed together and my sofa back together. Which was still one of the LAST things they did.
Terrible company - they broke objects because nothing was wrapped and old boxes were reused, the…read moreworkers smoked in the house, they were rude about the number of items and then stole a laptop from a backpack but said it was lost in boxes. In addition, the 'manager' tried to charge double even though the workers showed up late, both days. Absolutely nothing was organized, items from different rooms were put in boxes with no labels. Do NOT use these movers.

Echoing all of the other reviews here, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use Asia Links. They are a bunch…read moreof fraudsters. I wouldn't be surprised if they are out of business as I write this. My biggest regret is that I did not do more thorough due diligence on these charlatans and research reviews like the ones below which are sadly all too familiar based on our most recent experience. I should mention that I never write reviews, but the behavior of this vendor is so egregious, I am compelled to write to protect others from these swindlers. Last June, we solicited three quotes for our move from Hong Kong to Connecticut, USA. Links (Asia) Moving provided a competitive quote (US$6,000) as well as a promise to get our shipment to the USA in time for the school year. The other providers were not able to do so. Links made us aware that they could not make a full promise given a potential delay that US customs might throw up, but that was going to be a risk no matter what provider we chose. Packing in Hong Kong in July went fine. Our shipment was on its way and heading to the USA. After continued pushing via e-mail, we received periodic updates about expected arrival dates. Shipment made it to Newark in August and quickly cleared customs. And then the problems started. All of our items were a 2-hour truck ride away, but Asia Links refused to pay their USA partner, the freight forwarder that they were using. The initial excuses seemed valid, but days turned into weeks and the excuses became more absurd. The phone was never picked up in their office. Seriously, never! Unclear how you can conduct an ongoing business that way! Weeks turned into months and the communication just completely stopped and after the feeble excuses subsided, their staff simply stopped replying to our emails. E-mails to their CEO, Patrick O'Donnell, initially seemed promising, but soon followed the familiar refrain of being completely ignored. Our shipment was in limbo, we were sleeping on air mattresses, and there was no end in sight. Our shipment was effectively held as ransom, we could settle with the freight forwarder (since Links clearly was not going to) or continue to wait. We decided to pay the freight forwarder (who was helpful throughout this arduous process, but they wanted to get paid!). Shipment was scheduled within hours of settling up (for US$2,100) and the staff from the freight forwarder was courteous and efficient. I have never experienced something like this. In case it was not clear from the above, I would never in a million years recommend this firm or to even work with anyone who was affiliated with this deception.

It would appear they never took out the policy (their agent emailed me to say he had stopped working with them). It is impossible to reach them by phone. They don't reply to emails. I know one other customer personally who had to pay for their warehouse debts to retrieve his furniture (and still has not been reimbursed). If your things are precious to you, do not risk using them!
